In this video, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell talks about the Obama administration’s promise to amend the First Amendment to curtail the freedom of political speech. As Kurt Nimmo reports:
Obama’s chief political strategist, David Axerlrod, announced earlier this week that the administration will push for a constitutional amendment to rollback free speech if his boss is re-elected in November.
“When we win, we will use whatever tools out there, including a constitutional amendment, to turn this back,” Axlerod said on Wednesday. “I understand the free speech argument, but when the Koch brothers can spend $400 million, more than the McCain campaign and the Republican Party spent last time, that’s very concerning.”
“This has never been done before — in 235 years — to make it possible for the government to control political speech in this country — a truly radical, astonishing thing to say out loud even if you believed it,” remarked Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Thursday.
“America was built on free speech — the most important part of the Bill of Rights — and so we need to defend speech we don’t like. And we certainly want to fight against those who are trying to shut us up,” he said.
If Obama doesn’t like what you have to say, he wants you to shut up, and he is now promising to use the government to make you do just that. By the way, did you know that the unemployment rate in the public sector is 4.4%? Yet Obama says that the private sector is doing fine. Watch the video.
FDFNY President Ayesha and Lt. Providence recently gave speeches as a 14-Day Festival for Freedom to fight the Obamacaretax. In the question and answer period, a couple of audience members asked about the rumor that George Soros, the billionaire currency manipulator and money man behind the Democrat Party’s efforts to take over America for good, bought the company that would be counting the election votes in Spain. I did some research on this. Much of this rumor seems to come from the Occupy Wall Street types, but I couldn’t find any reliable source with any knowledge. Then I came across column by Michelle Malkin from May. She’s as reliable as anyone, and she’s concluded that this isn’t worth worrying about. The supposed counting in Spain has more to do with statistical examination after the election and not with actual vote counting. As well, she couldn’t find that Soros or any of his henchmen were actually involved with these companies. In short, this doesn’t seem like it is a big concern.
So the Greeks get a bailout from the other Europeans so they don’t have to work past the age of 50, even though the countries that are funding the Greek laziness have to work many more years than that. The agreement that the Greeks made was to install an austerity budget that would cut their costs. Instead, the Greek government, according to a report, “actually hired as many as 70,000 public employees” in 2010 and 2011. Don’t tell me they can save the Eurozone. Its collapse is coming.
When considering the damage that a socialist can do to a country, one needs to look no further than France. Their new President Hollande wants to take the top tax rate to 75%. With all other taxes added in, that would make an effective rate of 90% for the wealthiest. Granted, this may only affect 3,000 households, but how many of those households will stay in France with that kind of economic punishment? Are we to assume that just because they’re French, they hate their money? Eventually, socialists run out of people to tax. So for all those who don’t care about this, consider this. When many of these 3,000 households have moved to someplace else, who will they find to cover the cost of government then? That’s right, YOU sucker.
Victor Davis Hanson, a historian that lives in rural California, often writes about life in a California with an illegal immigrant population that feels no need whatsoever to live by the laws of our land because no one is willing to make them. Read the whole piece titled “The Flip Side to Illegal Immigration.” Here’s just a taste:
Forgotten in the latest hype about illegal immigration is the cycle of lawlessness that follows illegal entry into the United States. The simple fact is that once someone chooses to enter the U.S. illegally and remain here illegally, breaking the law, either deliberately or through indifference, becomes easier and habitual: obtaining false IDs, avoiding normal bureaucratic requirements, violating zoning laws, etc. And when the host, whether federal, state, or local government, sends a message that the issue is now entirely political rather than legal, often the illegal immigrant senses that he is (and should be) generally exempt from the mundane laws that others must follow.
About a few hundred yards from my farm, there are several trailers, and dozens of people living out behind a single-family dwelling, in violation of zoning laws, and general water, sewage, and health codes about outdoor structures. I am currently waiting to hear from authorities that the dogs who bit me last week on a morning bicycle ride prove not to be rabid; the owners, who did not speak English and were not willing to volunteer any information to me, had several dogs without vaccinations, licenses, leashes, etc. who, without their owners’ worry, run into the (busy) road to bite those who happen to pass by.
Brad Pitt, a great actor, is a big Obama fan. However, his mother’s a Christian who wrote a letter in the local newspaper arguing that she, while she has differences with Mormons, will still vote for Romney and thinks others should as well. She wrote, “But I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.” The liberals labeled her anti-gay, but that is just silly. Being against gay marriage does not mean you’re anti-gay. She didn’t say homosexuals should be exterminated. She just mentioned religious belief concerning homosexuality, which is pretty standard. Being a Christian doesn’t mean you’re anti-gay. However, it is becoming clearer and clearer that being a homosexual and/or “pro-gay” means that you are way too often anti-Christian.
The latest job numbers show that the Obama economy is terrible for women. The number of unemployed women in June was 5,785,000. That is 780,000 higher than when Obama took office. While the unemployment number stayed the same, the unemployment number for women went from 7.9% in May to 8% in June.
Speaking of unemployment, Obama’s economy is even worse for blacks. In May, the black unemployment number was 13.6%, and in June it rose to 14.4%. Don’t tell me that Obama’s been good for blacks in America. John Nolte reports: “For black youths aged 16 to 19, the unemployment rate is now an astonishing 39.3%, up from 36.5% last month. After an increase from 10.3% to 11% in May, the unemployment rate among Hispanics remained stuck at 11% in June.” My comment on the youth number is this. If these young people can’t get job experience now, how will this help them in the future President Obama?
In my continuing coverage of the alternative energy companies that Obama gave taxpayer dollars to before they went bankrupt, here is Ivanpah. Some say this is three times the size of Obama’s Solyndra fiasco.
Planned Parenthood is sponsoring the ESSENCE music festival, which is “one of black entertainment’s biggest events of the year.” I suppose if you take into account the fact that Planned Parenthood purposely places itself in minority neighborhoods so they can kill black babies more easily, this makes sense. But it takes a lot of chutzpah to go to a festival, where black people just want to have a good time, and make it abundantly clear that you, as an organization, want to be their first source of unwanted-baby disposal services. Since we live in a time when the life expectancy of the black men in prison is higher than for black men outside of prison, it would be nice if the ESSENCE festival could be sponsored by something more life affirming. Especially since, as Rev. Clenard Childress of www.BlackGenocide.org says, “The most dangerous place for an African-American is in the womb.” With these two stats, one might conclude that a black person is safer in prison than in the womb- that’s pathetic. We have Planned Parenthood to thank for that.
It took a lesbian administrator to put to shame the California public school district in Lake Elsinore. Of course she was demoted for drawing attention to the debauchery of the teachers and the administrators, but this is what offended her and rightly so. They all went on an annual retreat that was mandatory. There were “men pretending to have homosexual intercourse, discussions of ‘kinky sex,’ hats with plastic testicles and cross-dressing: It was all part of an official California public-school district retreat, a lawsuit says.” This is why parents need to get their children out of the government schools. First they perverted the teachers in the education colleges, and then the teachers, who’ve already been desensitized to the worldly elements of evil, feel free and licensed to pervert your children. It was all a part of a plan put into place a long time ago, and we’re seeing the plan’s fruits turn rotten every passing day.
Speaking of George Soros, he, along with Obama and Hilary Clinton, are pressuring Congress to adopt the UN Treaty for global gun control. The globalists don’t like it that we have guns to resist their global take over, and now they want foreigners at the UN, fully saturated with anti-Christian Muslim nations, to control our rights to own guns. Of course they say it has nothing to do with taking our guns. But we’re Americans. We’re used to being lied to by foreigners.
Famous liberal Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz is calling out his fellow Democrats who are attacking Sheldon Adelson for donating so much to Mitt Romney. Dershowitz, unlike many Democrats, is pro-Israel, and he values the vast contributions to the Israeli cause that have come from Adelson. But the Obamites want to shut up their opponents and have made it a recent habit to smear and investigate Americans who have the audacity to donate money to the Republican who has the audacity to oppose Obama. Nevertheless, “Obama’s campaign manager, Jim Messina, signaled last week that the Obama campaign was adding Adelson to the list of private citizens it has targeted for attack, alongside the Koch brothers and Karl Rove.” This just a week after Obama went to Europe with his celebritard friends to raise money from foreigners. Wasn’t that illegal before Obama took the throne?
Here are the details that prove that Republicans are better for the unemployed and the poor. Unemployment dropped, in every state that elected a Republican governor in 2010, more than 50% faster than the national rate on average. But if you want to stay unemployed so you have an excuse to live off the system and accept all the anti-social strings that are attached to the welfare state, this doesn’t help you. Move to a state that has a Democrat governor. There you’ll be treated like royalty.
Michael Carl at WND reports: “A Muslim group has released its plan to ‘wipe Christianity from the face of the earth,’ Islamize the West and establish an Islamic system of world government – placing those who resist ‘under a police state.’” This is a 23-page booklet that details the plans, and, as someone who follows the Islamic movement, I’m not at all surprised. But for those who claim diversity is our strength, this will throw a wrench into your thesis. As I’ve always said, never pet a burning dog.
Yesterday, I mentioned the drone system that Obama has running to spy on us, and I mentioned that some students had hacked the drone and turned it into a missile. They did this on a dare from Homeland Security. It only took the students of University of Texas at Austin $1000 to do it. Congrats to them. It’s just a reminder that Americans still have the ability to show the government where they can put their toys for totalitarianism.
In Phoenix, a man has been sentenced to two months in jail with three years of probation and over $12,000 in fines for having a regular prayer session at his home. This violation of private property is unconscionable in America, no matter what the argument is. If men can gather for a night of poker at a private residence, they surely can gather to pray. Is this America?
