Thousands expected to gather in opposition to the HHS mandate on second anniversary of health-care reform act.

The Nationwide Rally for Religious Freedom is set to take place on Friday, March 23, in more than 100 cities across the country. From Hawaii to Maine, citizens are preparing to let their voices be heard on the value of religious freedom. Meeting places include historic sites, congressional offices and federal buildings. The theme for the rally is “Stand Up for Religious Freedom — Stop the HHS Mandate!”

The rallies, which are scheduled to take place on the second anniversary of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (commonly called Obamacare), are being organized by the Pro-Life Action League and by Citizens for a Pro-Life Society in response to the recent Department of Health and Human Services mandate requiring most employers’ health-insurance plans to provide co-pay-free sterilization, contraception and abortion-causing drugs.

The mandate is unacceptable to Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League, who isspearheading the rallies. While he says there are numerous objections to the mandate, opposition to it can be broken down into two key points. The first, he says, is that “in principle, this mandate treats fertility, which can be seen as the very definition of health, as a disease. This is being talked about as ‘preventive care,’ as if motherhood, fatherhood and childhood are diseases to be avoided. This is extremely offensive.”

The second point, which Scheidler sees as even more important, is the violation of religious freedom. “This mandate would force employers to pay for sterilization, contraception and abortion-causing drugs, even in violation of their consciences. This is a direct attack on religious freedom itself, despite what many are being led to believe,” he said.

“Some think that because a so-called ‘accommodation’ was offered, everything is fine,” Scheidler said. “The Church, not the insurance companies, would still be forced to pay for things which violate Church teachings. The only way around it would be if a Catholic hospital, for example, would only hire Catholic employees and serve Catholic patients. This is ridiculous — the corporal works of mercy are not meant for Catholics alone. The HHS ’accommodation’ is so narrow that Jesus and his apostles would not qualify for it.”

He noted that even as Obama and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius presented the accommodation Feb. 10, the administration was “submitting their original plan to be published in the Federal Register. They did not intend to give us any leeway.”

Scheidler hopes to make this clear to those who had been unaware of it. “We really want this to be both a grassroots effort across the nation and also a unified effort with a very clear message. And that message is to stand up for religious freedom and stop Obama’s HHS mandate.”

Among the groups supporting the effort are Concerned Women for America, the National Black Pro-Life Coalition and Students for Life of America.

While many of the rally supporters are Catholic, Scheidler said this “really isn’t just a Catholic issue. This is a direct attack on the constitutionally protected right of religious organizations to define their own mission and purpose, which has been attacked by the Obama administration.” Scheidler wants to see everyone who supports his efforts, whether Catholic or not, to come to their nearest location in support of the effort. “We’re really encouraging people to invite local religious leaders — not just Catholics, but Protestants, Jews and others — to participate as speakers at the rallies as well.”

Speakers at the Federal Plaza in Chicago will include Sheila Liaugminas of Relevant Radio and Chicago archdiocesan priest Father Richard Simon. Cardinal Francis George will provide a recorded message for participants to hear. The newly installed coadjutor bishop of San Diego, Bishop Cirilo Flores, is scheduled to speak at the San Diego County Administration Building. New York City’s speakers include Father Benedict Groeschel of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and Alveda King, the pro-life activist and niece of Martin Luther King Jr.

Solidarity among all believers is something that Catholic radio talk-show host Al Kresta is also hoping for. “We want to see all believers support and join us in our efforts. This affects not just Catholics, but everyone. We cannot allow the federal government to dictate to us what we are to believe in. If we as a nation allow this one step, there’s no telling what else will ensue. It’s a shift from liberty to tyranny.”

Kresta, who is also the national spokesman for StopHHS.com, will be speaking at the Patrick V. McNamara Federal Building in Detroit. He expects to see a large turnout. “We’ve got a great group of people in Detroit who are interested in this issue, and I really do look forward to seeing a large number of them participating in what I think is the most important issue of our time.”

Every notable person Kresta has spoken with about the issue is in agreement on its nature. “I’ve talked with many people — constitutional scholars, bishops, attorneys, historians — and they all agree, whether they’re liberal or conservative, that this is unprecedented. Never before has the United States government attempted to forcereligious institutions to violate their deeply held beliefs,” Kresta explained.

“When abortion was allowed by law in 1973, it was very regrettable; and it remains regrettable that people are able to end the lives of their unborn children,” Kresta stated. “However, no American citizen is being compelled to commit abortion. We are all freenot to engage in that activity. With the HHS mandate, there’s a reversal. They are trying to proactively force us to act against our beliefs. It’s not a toleration of evil, but a heavy-handed promotion of it.”

However, Kresta thinks that because of slanted secular media coverage, many people still see this as a trivial issue . He hopes the rally will jump-start awareness of the importance of standing up for religious freedom. “The secular media is portraying this as no big deal, but it is a qualitative shift. It is fundamentally different from what has happened before: The federal government is proactively trying to restrict our individual and religious liberty. We want to make that clear across the nation. This is not about contraception; it’s about the federal government intruding where it does not belong.”

Penny Nance, president and CEO of Concerned Women for America, the nation’s largest public-policy women’s organization, shares Kresta’s apprehension. “We are deeply concerned about the dismantling of our constitutional freedoms and the assault on Christian institutions in America,” she stated.

“When religious groups are forced to deny their deeply held religious convictions, it is not called ‘balance’; it is called ‘tyranny,’” Nance said. “Concerned Women for America reminds the president that our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. Further, America’s social safety nets will not hold up without the contributions of Christian institutions — many of them run by the Catholic Church — and that churches and religious institutions provide the strong moral threads of the nation’s social fabric.”

Scheidler also sees the issue as being very widespread. “This is something that carries over into society at large. It’s not just a few out-of-touch pundits and bishops out there,” he said. “There are many women and men who reject the idea that pregnancy and childbirth are diseases that need to be prevented. There are many people who believe this is an encroachment on their religious freedom by the federal government.”

Overbearing government is something American Founding Father Patrick Henry is known for opposing, so it is noteworthy that the rally will be held on the anniversary of his famous 1775 statement — Scheidler said the timing of the rally was unintentional but providential — “Give me liberty or give me death.”

Knowledge makes a man unfit to be a slave

“Knowledge makes a man unfit to be a slave.” Frederick Douglass

Minorities in America are leading in all of the WRONG areas: Incarceration rates 47%, Drop-out rates 44%, Abortion rate 38 %, and children born to fatherless homes 72%. Yet we make up only 14% of the population. We are better than that.

Knowing that every politician in your neighborhood is a Democrat, where things rarely seem to get better, how does it make sense to continue to just blame the Republicans for the mess?

Frederick Douglass said, “What is possible for me is possible for you.”

We have the opportunity to do anything now, let us show the world we can.

As Americans it is time we re-evaluate our allegiance to the Democratic Party and reject Cronnie Capitalism. We must build on the rich heritage of Fredrick Douglass, Martin Luther King Jr, Soujourner Truth, George W. Murray and many many more.

Our Goals must be to educate, enhance, and empower ourselves. There has always been much talk in the community about “our history” and who we are as a people, why don’t we actually remember, that until the 1960s, the Democratic Party was for whites only? There were no free black Democrats. Have you ever wondered why ALL blacks were Republicans, or why the first black politicians after the Civil War were all Republican? Hiram Rhodes Revels, for example, served in the 41st Congress between 1870 and 1871. It is tragic that most Americans born after 1950 have no idea about their rich heritage and history.

It was the Republican Party that abolished slavery, established voting rights for blacks, integrated our public schools and appointed qualified blacks to positions of authoritity.

The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppose.” Frederick Douglass

To succeed and compete in todays world Blacks need to understand economics, and not the kind that our local politicians peddle to keep us poor. Supply and demand isn’t just a construct invented by white people to keep black people poor. It’s real, and it affects the prices, costs and availability of all products and services.

Lower taxes aren’t just for greedy rich whites who want to take money from poor black folks. They enable businesses, big and small, to form, grow and hire folks to work. Lowering taxes helps the free market enterprise drive the economy by producing jobs, allowing more unemployed people to leave the welfare rolls and enter the work force, and that’s the equivalent of teaching a man to fish rather than giving him the fish in exchange for your vote- like the Democrats do as they expect us to blindly vote for them as if we were a people without the mental capacity to think for ourselves or believe we deserve more than the leftovers of everyone else. More businesses and more jobs create competition but also more demand in the form of more workers with a paycheck to spend, and this results in reduced prices for goods and services.

The lies of the Democrat Party are what keeps minority neighborhoods poor, and for this reasons alone you have every reason to vote Republican. Democrats have been winning the PR Campaign for far too long. It’s the Democrats who rewrite history and control the educational systems. It was the Democrats who told blacks that life will be better for you if you just start voting Democrat. They said they’d leave them alone and stop the violence and lynching’s. Remember, it the Democrat party was the party of the KKK. And remember, every soldier that fought the Civil War for the South against Republican President Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat. And now it is the Democratic PR machine that tells the black man it isn’t so. Furthermore, your Democrat betters conveniently erase from history great men such as black Republican pioneer Dr. Arthur Fletcher. He is known as the father of affirmative action, he served as secretary of labor under President Richard Nixon, and he headed the U.S. Civil Rights Commission under President George H.W. Bush. But because he was a Republican, nothing great is rarely spoken of this man.

For years now, the racist label has been attached to Republicans without any supporting evidence. Yet the charge has gone mostly unanswered. Few have publicly addressed the unearned condemnation, and generations of black folk live and die without ever knowing the truth.

Fredrick Douglass said “I am a Republican, a black, dyed in the wool Republican, and I never intend to belong to any other party than the party of freedom and progress.”

Why have you never questioned or wondered? Well, now that you have a little piece of the puzzle you can. Start today and open up a whole new world of possibilities for yourself.

I have one great political idea. . . . That idea is an old one…..The best expression of it, I have found in the Bible. It is in substance, “Righteousness exalteth a nation; sin is a reproach to any people” [Proverbs 14:34]. This constitutes my politics – the negative and positive of my politics, and the whole of my politics. . . . I feel it my duty to do all in my power to infuse this idea into the public mind, that it may speedily be recognized and practiced upon by our people. ~Frederick Douglass

Are Black Republicans Like Runaway Slaves?

Posted on February 14, 2012 by tfdfblog

By: David Swerdlick
Posted: February 13, 2012

If so, can they get more black voters to run away, too? Black CPAC attendees weigh in.

A few minutes after introducing headliner Herman Cain at 2011′s Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., Niger Innis — son of civil rights leader Roy Innis and national spokesman for CORE, the Congress of Racial Equality — said that in his view, “The GOP is not for rich people — it’s for people who want to be rich.” It’s a nice sales pitch: short, to the point, upbeat and as good as any you’ll hear from those looking to draw new recruits into conservative ranks.

Pictures are Pudgy Miller, Sonnie Johnson and Kevin Daniels

Sonnie Johnson — who was at last week’s CPAC to introduce Andrew Breitbart — distilled that same message down to two words: “Get money.”

At CPAC 2012 — the American Conservative Union’s annual event that’s a who’s who of the conservative movement and that featured appearances by all of the Republican presidential candidates — black conservatives agreed that they need to do more to bring African-American voters into the conservative and Republican fold. As Charlotte Bergmann, running for Congress in Memphis, Tenn.’s majority-black 9th District, argued, “Republicans need to get into the communities to take this message of hope and freedom and liberty to the people.”

But there’s less consensus on what that message is.

Alveda King, a Cain confidante and niece of Martin Luther King Jr., focuses on abortion, arguing that Planned Parenthood has an “agenda of baby killing.” And at CPAC, several black conservatives highlighted a reported statistic that in New York in 2008, more African Americans had abortions than gave birth, and several made the case that pro-abortion-rights policies have had the effect of “population control” on black communities.

Meanwhile, K. Carl Smith of the Frederick Douglass Republicans told The Root, “If you look at those four life-affirming values of Douglass” — that Smith describes as respect for life, respect for the Constitution, belief in limited government and individual responsibility — “President Obama is zero for four.” But when it comes to Obama, Kevin Daniels of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a separate organization, said, “I don’t talk about him much — he’s not my concern.”

Daniels thinks “abortion is a big issue” but doesn’t rank it higher on his list than other issues in the black community, saying, “Social issues affect the economic issues, and economic issues affect the social issues.” Mark Greer — on hand to support Newt Gingrich — agreed that “economic issues and social issues work hand in hand.”

They shared a consensus that “Obamacare” goes too far, with Bergmann saying, “There are people in the community who are really concerned about the death panels that are contained in the Obamacare legislation” — a reference to the debunked controversy over end-of-life provisions in the Affordable Care Act — while Pudgy Miller, host of the North Carolina-based Keeping It Real With Pudgy radio show, argued that “We can’t truly afford to do this for the long term.”

Yet when asked which other programs needed to be cut, it was harder to get answers. No one would specify which entitlement they might target. When asked if programs like LIHEAP (home-heating oil subsidies) should be slashed along with subsidized health care, Smith said no, because then “you’re making it worse for the poor” — but immediately reiterated that “you’ve got to get people off of entitlements.” Miller’s response to the same question was that “entitlements are necessary, just not the way that they are structured now.”

It came pretty close to the Tea Party’s infamous “Get your government hands off my Medicare.”

And in response to being portrayed, as they see it, as “Uncle Toms” or “sellouts,” some black conservatives are rallying around the narrative that they, in fact, are present-day Harriet Tubmans helping other African Americans escape from the “plantation” of the Democratic Party, with CPAC 2012 featuring a new film by C.L. Bryant called Runaway Slave that’s part documentary, part Tea Party infomercial, and even has the tagline “Run from tyranny to liberty.”

It’s an extension of the charge made by Cain during his mercurial presidential campaign that the nine out of 10 African Americans who vote for Democrats are “brainwashed.” And when asked if the plantation analogy hurts conservative prospects for getting black support, Bryant offered that “the reason it repels them is that it’s a stinging truth” — highlighting his view that “government dependency is the plantation that Democrats support.”

That perception was shared by several others at CPAC, including Florida Rep. Allen West — the only Republican in the Congressional Black Caucus — who told the CPAC crowd Friday that conservatives have compassion, but “we just don’t think the safety net should be used as a hammock.” It’s a perspective that resonates — and rankles — after Gingrich’s frequent references to Barack Obama as the “food stamp president.”

Outside of health care reform, no one expressed what they saw as Obama’s failures, and none outlined a program that they’d offer as an alternative to Obama’s policies. Smith didn’t disagree with the notion that GOP front-runner Mitt Romney has held the same positions as Obama on all of the major issues, but about Romney he said, “I don’t think he’s a socialist, though,” adding, “I’d vote for him over Obama.”

Black conservatives clearly have a message: anti-government, anti-abortion and pro-school choice. It’s just not clear if they think that slave imagery or calling other African Americans brainwashed is a winning strategy for getting the black electorate to consider the alternatives.

In the end, Johnson, who’s in the Sarah Palin biopic The Undefeated and possesses her own Palin-esque star potential, returned to the most compelling case for African Americans to join the conservative cause: not the slave narrative, or abortion, but her belief — expressed passionately — that “you don’t have to convince black people of capitalism” because it’s already there in black culture. She also took time to admonish conservatives that “the way that you’re phrasing things” makes a difference in how the message is received.

She and Daniels conceded that no matter what’s said now, the overwhelming majority of black voters will stick with Democrats in 2012. But Daniels was confident about conservatives making future inroads in the black community.

“We’re not in this just for the 2012 election cycle,” he said. “We’re in this for the long term, and over time, yes, it will happen.”

A Follow Up on the Persecuted Miss Williams

A Follow Up on the Persecuted Miss Williams

by Mack Rights

Exactly.

Since my initial reporting on this situation, I’ve learned more of what happened. By the way, the first teacher that reported Miss Williams to the teachers’ collective was a woman and not a man. In any case, upon receiving an email from Miss Williams’ mother, I have an even better handle of what kind of evil nonsense the Rochester Teachers Association (RTA- the local teachers union) is wielding.

From the email, it appears that, after the essay was copied and distributed to other teachers in the school, Miss Williams’ mother and father immediately started receiving harassing phone calls from various teachers at the school. She didn’t even know some of these teachers, but they were all describing how bad Miss Williams (a straight-A student) was being. Her grades were bad, but the teachers refused to show the tests she’d failed. Instead, they claimed that Miss Williams wasn’t turning in her homework.

Then Miss Williams was kicked out of class for laughing and was threatened with in-school suspension.

When Miss Williams’ mother would go to the meetings with the teachers that were persecuting her daughter, other teachers would be there, as well as union thug representatives from the RTA. Surprise, her questions weren’t answered, as the teachers hid behind the union rep thug.

Upon pulling Miss Williams out of the school, she attempted to get her into another one that might have been acceptable. The teachers, knowing better, convinced her that that school was filled. “Try this one,” they demanded.

Miss Williams’ first day at this new school was made unforgettable in that she was lucky enough to witness four fights. The other students asked her if she was there because she was a fighter. Imagine that. They stuck her into a problem-child school. It’s the place where the teachers union stashes all the children they consider to be FCA’s (future criminals of America).

Luckily, Miss Williams’ parents love her enough to get her the heck away from there. Miss Williams’ mother has quit her job and is trying to home school her daughter. The strange thing is, the school system wants her back at the throwaway-kid school- obviously for the money- but they don’t want her in the school system enough to actually offer her the education she deserves. They’d rather send her off to reeducation camp with the kids they’d already given up on. This government-school thuggery may sound unbelievable, but for those of us who understand the levels, to which the government union workers will go to protecting their fiefdom, it is completely understandable.

We will be reaching out to the teachers involved. Miss Williams’ mother has found that repeatedly futile. We hope to get their side of the story and help to get this situation resolved.

To find out more about the true history of blacks in America, please join us Saturday February 11th (tomorrow) at 2:00pm at the Joy Community Church on the corner of Bay and Goodman. This is a free black history month event, and Miss Williams will be presented with the Frederick Douglass Foundation of NY’s Spirit of Freedom award.

Oh and I love how Those who are on the side of promoting a sex-for-all are not starting to lie on those of us standing for righteousness, it only goes to show that they have no truth to stand on just lies and deception. Time to wake up the people and get parents to see what is going on.

The RCSD is trying to rape our children’s innocence and virtue! They are forcing themselves on minor children with perverse information!

Do you know what the Rochester City Schools are teaching your kids about sex?
Do you know about the battle that is going on concerning what they want to teach? Parents, who is in charge of your child?
Did you know that if it weren’t for some concerned parents, the Rochester City School board would already be giving “free” tax-payer-supplied condoms to children 12 and up?
We need your voice at the upcoming School Board meetings to express your feelings as a Parent or a taxpayer. The next meeting is in Nov and WE NEED YOU to sign up to share your opinion.

They want to teach your child to feel comfortable and un-judged about the promiscuity that results from condoms in school. Then they want to make sure your children are comfortable experimenting with homosexuality, and of course they plan on teaching them how to go about the experimentation. First though, they’ll teach your children to put a condom on a latex penis. And to make sure everybody’s comfortable about all things sexual, they’ll promote masturbation, Bestiality, oral sex, pornography, and of course more homosexuality. These children are your children. Is it the school’s place to be teaching these things to your child?

Are you going to allow the tax payer funded schools who WORK FOR YOU to make you feel as though You need an MD, PHD, or any degree to decide what is right for your child?

Churches, Parents, Grandparents, Taxpayers this is your future, your families at stake and we cannot win without your prayer, support and action

It is time we push back. Join us.

Some FACTS you might consider:

• RCSD claims a 49% general graduation rate. Should they focus more on educating students or on promoting sexuality to children?

• STD’s & pregnancy rates have still increased despite these proposed “remedies.” Condoms actually increase STD and Pregnancy rates, giving children a false sense of security while encouraging further risky behavior.

• Condoms are only 85% effective and only used 57% of the time. A condom merely reduces—but does not eliminate—the risk of an STD or pregnancy. With increasing sexual activity, the chances of condom failure automatically goes up.

• Planned Parenthood’s founder and mission developer was Margaret Sanger, a surprisingly unapologetic eugenicist (discouraging reproduction of undesirables like minorities, the disabled, etc. –a philosophy also embraced by the Nazi party.) Sadly, eugenicists enthusiastically continue to support PP’s efforts today.

• One in two sexually active people will contract an STD before the age of 25, despite (because of?) forty years of condom-oriented “safe sex.”

• CONDOMS DO NOT PROTECT against Chlamydia, syphilis, herpes or HPV.

• The scientific link between Suicide and Depression in sexually active teens is undeniable. Boys and girls suffer the effects and are 3 to 8 times as likely to be depressed or attempt suicide than boys or girls who are not sexually active.

• Creating the school atmosphere of sexuality also encourages oral sex options that lead to further risks.

• Real abstinence programs are legitimate and now PROVEN to be effective. Kids that don’t have sex don’t have babies and don’t get STD’s. It’s hard to argue that fact.

• We have a successful abstinence-based program which decreased sexual activity and increased the academic success of the worst teen students in the City of Rochester, and we would like to offer it free of charge to the community and the RCSD…please inquire and ask the district to implement this program on behalf of your children.

Teach Character, NOT Condoms

Come out in show of support AGAINST these initiatives: If the public and parents DO NOT Step up to the plate they will pass this.
The Rochester City School Board (RCSB) is continuing to discuss student health services being proposed before the RCSD policy committee. The policy proposal includes, but is not limited to:
  • Allowing only certain community health agencies such as Planned Parenthood, Safe Sex Inc., and Highland Family Planning to have access to junior high and high school students.
  • Allowing these community agencies to demonstrate condom use to students in the classroom.
  • Establishing health clinics in all secondary schools to dispense condoms, contraceptives, and referrals for abortion.
  • Instruction regarding homosexuality and transgender behavior.
What will children be exposed to?
  • Currently, at the top of the Rochester City School’s East High Clinic’s website links to several organizations dealing with sexuality: I wanna know!, Sex etc., Scarlet Teen, and Planned Parenthood; under “sexual orientation” students can visit the Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC), Out Youth and the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley. I have to ask How have we allowed things to go this far?
  • I Wanna Know! claims to be “a trusted source of information on sexual health and sexually transmitted infections,” but one of the first messages sent to students is “Being Gay Is Not a Choice.”
  • Sex Etc. makes no bones about its agenda when it says, pro-life pregnancy centers “claim to give women complete and accurate information about their pregnancy options when, in reality, their agenda is to dissuade women from obtaining abortions. They offer misleading and medically inaccurate information about abortion.” It shouldn’t surprise us that students are encouraged to use National Abortion Federation’s hotline for “honest and accurate information” about pregnancy options. Pro-life views are assaulted on this taxpayer-funded district website!
  • If this policy is adopted, students would automatically be “opted into” this type of education and “services”. This is just the tip, as we see in NYC where these programs are not mandatory for all schools and students with NO OPT OUT

What can I do to stop this? ALL of the following

  • Attend the meeting showing support for abstinence-based initiatives Sign up to Speak, Bring respectful signs (no sticks) showing support for traditional values regarding human sexuality. You can sign up to speak (call 585. 262.8525..) at a number of different RCSD board meeting and voice your concern (there is always room) and opinion the dates are as follows :

November 8th 6:00pm (Community and Intergovernmental Relations Meeting)

November 10th 5:30pm (Policy Committee Meeting)

November 17th 6:30pm (Full Board Meeting)

December 15th (Full Board Meeting)

To sign up to speak YOU MUST call 585. 262.8525….You can tell them that you want to speak regarding the CAP program. It is important to be present at the meeting even if you don’t wish to speak…and we need to be present at as many of these meeting as possible, the vote can be at anytime.
  • Send an e-mail message to the Rochester City School Board. Encourage the Board to reject this misguided proposal. We need to let the The Rochester School Board, Monroe County Dept. of Health and other community health organization know that we have not relinquished our parental rights and responsibility to make critical decisions for our children. And they are not welcomed to take our place as parents.

Frederick Douglass Foundation Chairman Calls U.S. Congressman Andre Carson Recent Comment About The Tea Party Reckless and Irresponsible

Perhaps the problem for Rep. Carson begins with his poor public education in the Indiana school system. Like so many previous statements and comparisons to our nations segregated past made by members of the CBC, the accused do not fit the profile portrayed. You see, like the Jim Crow laws and Black Codes, lynchings were legalized and performed by members of the Democratic party. Tea party activists have not committed any crimes against a black person, stopped anyone from entering any polling facilitates, or demanded they receive special privileges.

Ayesha Kreutz’s piece in the D&C from this last Sunday on What Schools should focus on. Please feel free to comment, I think it might make me look good lol :)

One of the Funniest Movie Lines Ever?

http://www.fdfny.org/blog/2011/08/28/one-of-the-funniest-movie-lines-ever/

An oldie but a goodie… Along with this classic funny video let me point out

something the goes hand and hand with it

‎”Liberalism betrays blacks by keeping them in a place of victimhood.”

Bridging the Black political divide

http://www.fdfny.org/blog/2011/08/28/bridging-the-black-political-divide/

Our Very own Sgt. Robert Allen Mansfield taking on victimhood and racism on all

sidesI think I will start doing more events like this one… Contrasting who we are

as conservatives verses everything else is a win-win.

Blacks, Whites Differ on Government’s Role in Civil Rights -

http://www.fdfny.org/blog/2011/08/27/blacks-whites-differ-on-governments-role-in-civil-rights/

This is the reason we at the Frederick Douglass Foundation travel and work so

tirelessly to go out and educate the people on Socialism and the devastating

effects it has already had on our society and why blacks will only continue to

decline unless we embrace a comprehensive Biblical Worldview which more lines up

with [...]

My Rick Perry Problem–and Ours

http://www.fdfny.org/blog/2011/08/27/my-rick-perry-problem-and-ours/

Conservatism is starting to have an identity-politics problem all its own.

By Jonah Goldberg |  National Review Friday, August 26, 2011

Texas governor Rick Perry is the front-runner for the Republican presidential

nomination now, at least in the national polls. Undoubtedly that’s the main

reason so many East Coast pundits and [...]

Leaving the Lifestyle? Homosexuality – Love the sinner.

http://www.fdfny.org/blog/2011/08/24/homosexuality-videos-love-the-sinner/

There is always hope, and always remember we are all sinners. The question is do we choose to act on our sinful nature or give it over to Christ.

Part 13: The Gay Heroes Part 2

http://www.fdfny.org/blog/2011/08/24/part-13-the-gay-heroes-part-2/

Continuing my celebration of the gay heroes that America’s children will learn

to love and appreciate, I start with Perez Hilton.  He’s another fabulous gem

of rank idiocy.  As the judge of the Miss America contest (why a gay guy would

be put in charge [...]

Part 12: The Gay Heroes

http://www.fdfny.org/blog/2011/08/23/part-12-the-gay-heroes/

Before I get into the gay heroes, I’d like to highlight two pieces of news from

today.  The first, comes from our president’s state of Illinois  “where a

county judge ruled the state can decline to renew its contracts with Catholic

Charities to provide publicly funded foster care and [...]
