A Gentle Reminder To The Obama Vote

A Gentle Reminder To The Obama Vote

We told you so!

How now progressives? What means that sickly pallor overwhelming your once hearty and vital visages? I miss that glazed over luster in your eyes! Where you once stood so resolutely confident in “Change” – you Hollywooders, you leftist tycoons, now you waiver. Do you now find your “Hope” kinked?

In truth, it was always so. All your “Hope and Change” hinged on flawed premises and false paradigms. What we on the right knew all along, you are just now beginning to realize, which is that ideology can oft times diverge sharply from stark reality.

President Obama is a hardcore liberal ideologue – and that’s all. Ideology is the sum of his Presidential being. That too has always been so! It was so when he was a community organizer; when he was a Senator on the national and state levels and when he campaigned for the office he now inhabits.

Why liberals felt the junior Senator from Illinois would make a competent Commander-in-Chief, administrator and statesman given a far left background completely bereft of commensurate experience remains God’s own mystery.

Yet, here we are! And while here we are seeing the sort of damage that can be done in a very short amount of time when competence is not considered whilst making enormous decisions like who will helm the ship of state. As a passenger on that proverbial ship, I find the naked sentimentality that led to your choice of a novice captain himself guided by foggy idealism, a poor substitute for accurate charts and a clear sky.

So, it is no small wonder that we now find ourselves dangerously off course in exceedingly dangerous waters.

Just shy of two years ago, I wrote an article wherein I expounded upon a narrative popular at the time, fueled by no less than an ex-president that anyone critical of President Obama’s policies was a plain dealing bigot. In lieu of this liberal fallacy becoming a tenet amongst more rabid Obama sycophants, I coined a new eponymous law.

Beside Murphy’s Law, Occam’s Razor and Asimov’s Laws of Robotics I placed:

“The Obama Principle: Opposition to the policies of an African American president exists by virtue of him being an African American president.”

My eponymous law may prove to lack the staying power of its aforementioned illustrious comrades. It seems that once people actually had to live with some of the President’s policies it has become okay to question the wisdom of Mr. Obama and his half-baked machinations. The actualized ones as well as the ones he proposes.

The irrational opinions the President uses to frame his political arguments have suddenly ceased to be rallying cries and have become the subject of sharp rebuke from people you would not expect, people who were, at least on the surface, supporters of Mr. Obama.

A few years ago, early Barack Obama enthusiast and supporter Warren Buffett, with blind adulation for the fresh faced candidate from Illinois, (once it was clear that Hillary was not a fait accompli) announced:

“I will be very happy if he is elected president.”

Buffett’s comment prompted Leftist bloggers to fire off postings with titles like:

“Here’s Why Warren Buffett Endorsed Obama Today: McCain Failed to Get ‘Lobotomy’”

By March of 2009 things had begun to appear shaky in light of the President’s economic remedies’ lack of…Clarity. The President granted an interview to 60 Minutes where he was asked:

”Your plan really for solving the banking crisis was met with very, very, very tepid response,”

Kroft said to Obama.

“A lot of people said they didn’t understand it. A lot of people said it didn’t have any, enough details to solve the problem. I know you’re coming out with something next week on this. But these criticisms were coming from people like Warren Buffett, people who had supported you, and you had counted as being your…”

The President interrupted:

“And Warren still does support me,” Obama interjected. “But I think that, understand, Warren’s also a big player in the financial markets who’s a major owner of Wells Fargo. And so he’s got a perspective from the perspective of somebody who is part owner of a bank.”

Quite so! A reality that Mr. Buffett himself was beginning to remember once the dew of Obama madness began to evaporate. Nevertheless Buffett continued his role as Starbuck to Obama’s Ahab and toed the ideological line. Buffett stated in an interview on CNBC around the same time:
”I voted for Obama and I strongly support him, and I think he’s the right guy,”

This, even though the President had yet to offer any proof that would bolster such confidence and optimism.

Where once liberal Obama stooges immune to all semblance of reason held dogmatically to the unspoken creed that no one ought to find fault in Mr. Obama, it seems he is now becoming fair game.

Warren buffett offered a stern lesson in the idiocy of Mr. Obama’s class warfare inducing rhetoric, when he explained the economics of corporate jets and their owners Which Obama had earlier ridiculed. He completely laid open Obama’s ignorance in regards to the provisions, Mr. Obama’s own stimulus plan allowed corporate assets like the much-maligned jets.

This should come as no surprise to thinking people. As a hardcore liberal ideologue, who has not produced a thing himself, the President had nothing to do with the production of the stimulus plan– Other than desiring of course that it be a bill that would induce more Federal spending. Thus, he fell into his default mode and attacked the rich through his ill-informed corporate jet demagoguery. He didn’t know about the Corporate asset write offs in the stimulus.

The Berkshire Hathaway head honcho is not the only Obama loyalist now at least entertaining the idea the President may be well and truly insensible to economic actualities. In light of Mr. Obama’s equally careless remarks eschewing Las Vegas tourism, we find erstwhile Democrat and Obama supporter Steve Wynn, CEO of Wynn Resorts veritably frothing at the mouth as he laments this Administrations mishandling of the economy, fostering a business hostile environment, paralyzing the private sector.

Wynn passionately intoned:

“I believe in Las Vegas. I think its best days are ahead of it. But I’m afraid to do anything in the current political environment in the United States.”

Wynn continued:

“And I’m saying it bluntly, that this administration is the greatest wet blanket to business, and progress and job creation in my lifetime.”

Even Rap Mogul Jay Z, when asked his opinion on the criticism aimed at the President recently had to admit:

 “He’s the president, it’s fair.”

This is the same Jay Z, who in an interview a year and a half ago said:

“I believe the same thing about Barack that I believed at day one. What he represents is bigger than any political agenda that he can pass across the House, Senate or whatever. I think that right now he’s going through a difficult period because people are putting the last eight years on his table and they’re judging him by it. You can’t expect a man to clean up eight years of mess in two years; it’s just bad math. It’s impossible.”

When one considers the latest report from the Labor Department showing unemployment at 9.2%, compared to an average unemployment rate of 5.2%, during the eight years Jay Z berated, it is “fair” indeed! The unemployment rate didn’t reach 6% until August of 2008 and it ended at 7.3%

The unemployment rate was at 7.8% at Mr. Obama’s swearing in and it has not been that low since. Unemployment peaked at 10.1% in October of 2009 and since then has only been below 9% twice.

Not to wax all wonkish, because that is not my normal style, but this is interesting data when you remember that President Obama rushed through the stimulus all the while assuring us that it would keep unemployment below 8% if acted upon swiftly! And so it was.

Reactionary politics and voting emotionally as exemplified by the 2008 election is never a good idea. Especially when it culminates in the election of so pig-headed an ideologue as our current President. That is why our Founders arranged our election cycles as they did, to allow a swift correction in government if emotionalism resulted in bad choices. The Founders insured America time to come to her senses.

George W. Bush was an ideologue; Bill Clinton was an ideologue as well and born of the same species as Obama. Yet, the leftist strain infecting Clinton is not nearly as virulent as that coursing through Mr. Obama’s fevered brain. Prompted by the Republican takeover of Congress, Mr. Clinton saw the writing on the wall and was wise enough to recognize the plans he put in motion were failing miserably.

President Clinton was an able enough captain to see the rocks ahead. He knew he needed to change course. Mr. Clinton cooperated with the Republicans and thanks to the leadership of Newt Gingrich and the Republican’s “Contract with America,” President Clinton was then able to take credit for a healthy economy and surplus.

President Obama’s liberal sensibilities are completely clouding what little judgment he has left. Even though John Boehner, the current House Speaker, played an instrumental role in drafting the “Contract With America”, this President has his jaw set and will not be moved.

To all the liberal and independent people who now bemoan their tragic trust in an unproven commodity, heavy on the show, but otherwise insubstantial-you voted with your heart and not your brain.

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9

Let that be a lesson to you!

To Democrats and Republicans: We are compromising and this is our compromise. Take it or leave it.

This year, our dear leader plans to spend 1.69 Trillion dollars more than we take in via taxation. In other words, he wants to spend 3.69 Trillion dollars even though the people only have 2 Trillion give.

The ‘Cut, Cap and Balance Act (H.R. 2560)’ is our (huge) compromise people. It’s not that conservative of a deal, as it allows way too much debt. We are going along with very limited cutting in the budget. It is a fraction of what needs to happen in order for the USA to remain economically solvent.  So let’s not let them get this twisted.  The reality of the situation is that we need to cut 1.69 Trillion in spending a year, but The Cut, Cap and Balance plan would increase the debt limit by $2.4 trillion in exchange for cutting spending by $111 billion next year, along with a few other things but no other substantial CUTS in spending. So if anyone thinks we are not compromising they are sorely mistaken.

With that said, the Frederick Douglass Foundation of New York does agree this is a step in the right direction- a baby step but a step nonetheless.

So Please call your congressman today and let them know in no uncertain terms that this is the best compromise we will allow.  Hold your congressman accountable, praise them for holding strong and tell them to continue.  If you have a Liberal or a senator who is a coward, hold their feet to the fire too.  We cannot allow this out of control spending to persist.  We, on the right, have compromised with this Cut, Cap and Balance Act.  Now it is the left’s turn.

Find your Congressman/Rep/Senator: Click Here

Now, back to the subject at hand.

The Cut, Cap and Balance Plan is at least something with a little piece of meat in it, unlike the Senate bill that is laughable because it plans to cut a pathetic $3.7 trillion over 10 years.  Big whoop.  How is it that I know we over spend by 1.69 Trillion a year and Congress does not?  Can they even add up on the Hill?  $1.69 Trillion over 10 years is 16.9 Trillion dollars.  Even with cutting $3.7 Trillion, this will still double our debt over the next 10 years, which is currently over 14 Trillion dollars- not counting the $100 and some trillion in unfunded mandates.  Are these people insane?  If we are talking about the interest payments on $14 Trillion dollars and how it is unsustainable, why are we talking about doubling the debt and more than doubling the debt-service payments once interest rates go up as our credit worthiness is bound to be down graded to junk status at some point? Though, a part of me thinks: If the world was smart they would have down-graded us years ago, maybe that would have forced us to cut spending sooner.

Federal spending has reached historic highs, and I hope we can all agree that we the people have allowed too many previous administrations to spend, spend, spend.  It is time we put our foot down.  We cannot continue on with all the childish antics of “Well he did it, so that means so can I.”

Obama has spent more borrowed money in his first 2 years in office than all other presidents combined, and that obviously means the federal spending is at historic highs.  We have to get real- it is unsustainable.  According to the Congressional Budget Office, if Congress enacts Obama’s 2012 budget, interest payments on accumulated deficits will total $931 billion in 2021 alone.  That would account for too large a percentage of all tax receipts- leaving no money to fund the mandatory expenditures, let alone all the discretionary nonsense.

Combined with spending on other mandatory programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, 95% of all tax revenues would be spoken for before Congress can allocate funds to national defense or any other essential function of government that might include bailouts, stimulus spending, and costly new health care mandates.   With 2 Trillion taken in a year, we cannot say we have a revenue problem.  We have a spending problem.

Federal spending is currently at $3.69 trillion per year, and it is expected to grow to $4.3 trillion per year by the year 2019.  But that would be only if the rate of increase slowed to a turtle’s gallop.  At the same time, entitlement programs continue to grow, consuming an ever-increasing percentage of the federal budget.  Mandatory spending on entitlement programs, which has risen over 579% since 1965, is causing the Federal Government to currently spend $1.72 for every $1.00 of revenue.

Taxpayers can no longer afford a bloated federal budget full of earmarks and programs for special interests. The budgetary process must be reformed to improve transparency and identify programs better suited for the private sector as well as wasteful and redundant federal programs. It is time we the people, who are caesar in America, force institutional changes to constrain spending by politicians.

I know it is tempting for many, especially those who do not pay attention to the numbers, to say that we should raise taxes on the ‘rich.’ But consider this: “If Obama convinced Congress to simply tax small business owners and investors who make $250,000 or more per year to pay off the deficit, their rates would have to rise to levels that are not even possible. The top two rates would need to rise to 132% and 142%, which is, of course, more than they earn.”
Fact sheet

We must insist that the government re-allocate monies to pay first for those things the constitution expressingly calls for us to pay for, such as servicing our debt, the general welfare as well as things like national defense. Which, by the way, Congress would have to support a core defense budget that would require a minimum commitment of averaging $720 billion per year over five years in order to maintain a trained, ready force that can protect our vital national interests and prepare for the future. This goal is obtainable under the Cut, Cap, and Balance Act.

Congress would YES have to then prioritize the rest of the money and when it is gone we cut everything else.  That’s the reality.  We are up a creak without a paddle, and the water falls is thundering in our ears.

Perhaps a balanced budget amendment is in order, a taxpayer’s bill of rights, and a supermajority in Congress for any tax increases.  One thing is for sure, if we intend to stay economically solvent and to continue being the super power in the world, the size and scope of our government must be returned to a level that the nation can afford. Perhaps Congress should understand the principle of, “develop a budget, to ensure that you can afford the loan payments” hello it is not that hard to understand or have we gone so far off the deep end we do not understand God’s Word anymore

Proverbs 22: 7 The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.

Forecasts suggest that the Obama administration’s spending proposals will push the national debt to 90% of the GDP by 2020, doubling to 180% of the GDP by 2035.  But I don’t know where these forecasters get these numbers.  The 2010 GDP was about $15 trillion, depending on where you look.  $14.3 trillion in debt divided by $15 trillion in GDP is over 95% debt to GDP.  It sounds to me that these forecasters are trying to hide the truth from us.  We’re already in the national debt death spiral.

The interest alone on the current debt already accounts for over $30 billion in federal spending every month.  If action is not taken imminently, the federal spending will bankrupt the United States, thwarting economic growth and threatening our competitiveness in the global economy. We as Christians we are required to pay back our debt and we should not take that lightly so how about we think hard on what debt we want to accumulate, if any.

Psalm 37: 21 The wicked borrows and does not repay, But the righteous shows mercy and gives.,

So HOW ABOUT WE GET OUT OF DEBT! We as a nation do not have to go into debt with 2 Trillion Dollars of revenue a year, but if people insist on raising taxes how about start having the 50% of the nation who pays NO Taxes start paying some taxes instead of making the 50% that already pay everything pay more. Now, that would be a fair idea. See: Matthew 25:14-30; Luke 19:12-28

Let us, as conservatives, send a message to our republican and democrat leaders by saying:  ”This is our compromise.”  Take it or leave it.  We will not go any lower.  If Obama and his comrades want to play partisan political games at a time of crisis, then that is on them. We, on the right, have done our part and compromised WAY TOO MUCH with this Cut, Cap and Balance deal.

Call your local, state and federal representatives and praise those who have been standing firm on saving America.  Tell them you are behind them and will stay behind them if they just keep on fighting for us.

For those Congressional traitors who are playing games and trying to socialize our country, hold their feet to a hotter fire and remind them that they work for you and that you want them to CUT Spending by 1.7 Trillion dollars a year.  That is sure to get their attention.

Black America is this what you voted for? Obama completes turnaround on DOMA – asks court to strike down law

Black America is this what you voted for?  Just another nail in black americas coffin. Pastors of America where are you? Is your tax exempt status so precious that you are willing to let a nation fall? When are we as a country finally going to say enough is enough? We had better start standing up and speaking truth to people before we “equality” ourselves out of existence.

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 5, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Obama Administration has now completed a full turn on the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), arguing before the courts that the law is unconstitutional and should be voided.

Obama’s Department of Justice (DoJ) filed papers last Friday in a lawsuit filed by Karen Golinski, an attorney with the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, whose partner was denied benefits based on DOMA. The DoJ argues in their brief that the Defense of Marriage Act violates the U.S. Constitution’s guarantees of equal protection.

The DoJ’s entrance into Golinski’s case represents the first case where Obama’s administration has dropped neutrality for active opposition to DOMA.

The DoJ’s 31-page brief asserts that DOMA’s “official legislative record” shows clearly that Section 3 of DOMA, which limits the federal definition of “marriage” to the union of one man and one woman, and “spouse” to indicate a member of the opposite sex, was “motivated in large part by animus toward gay and lesbian individuals and their intimate relationships.”

The brief also contends that homosexuality is an “immutable characteristic,” and goes on to say that “gays and lesbians have been subject to a history of discrimination” in which the U.S. government “has played a significant and regrettable role.”

The case is being argued before U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White, a Bush appointee, who dismissed Golinski’s earlier claim on procedural grounds, but left room for her to file a new case.

Earlier this year, Obama’s DoJ had stopped defending DOMA in federal challenges, leaving the legal defense of the 1996 statute up to Congress.

Besides codifying the definition of marriage in federal statutes, DOMA protects states from having to recognize as valid within their own jurisdictions same-sex “marriages” contracted in other states.

At the direction of Speaker John Boehner, the U.S. House of Representatives directed its Office of General Counsel to take up the legal defense of DOMA on behalf of Congress in March.

The DoJ filing was a response to a June 10 brief filed against Golinski by DOMA’s House legal defense.

Former U.S. solicitor general Paul Clement is defending the law, and argued in his brief that “opposite-sex marriage is a deeply rooted, historic institution – and a fundamental constitutional right – and same-sex marriage is neither of these things.”

Clement also stated that the U.S. Congress has a “legitimate government interest” in “encouraging child-rearing by a married mother and father.” He argued that while some heterosexual couples may not have children, and some homosexual couples could raise children, the government had to legislate on broad general categories for the public good.

When will Obama crack in public?

When will Obama crack in public?

At a time when many Americans can barely afford Burger King and a movie, Obama boasts of spending a billion dollars on his re-election campaign. Questioned at a recent appearance about the spiraling fuel costs,Obamasaid, “Get used to it” – and with an insouciant grin and chortle, he told another person at the event, who complained about the effect high fuel priceswere having on his family, to “get a more fuel-efficient car.”

The Obamas behave as if they were sharecroppers living in a trailer and hit the Powerball, but instead of getting new tires for their trailer and a new pickup truck, they moved to Washington. And instead of making possum pie, with goats and chickens in the front yard, they’re spending and living large at taxpayer expense – opulent vacations, gala balls, resplendent dinners and exclusive command performances at the White House, grand date nights, golf, basketball, more golf, exclusive resorts and still more golf.

Expensive, ill-fitting and ill-chosen wigs and fashions hardly befit the first lady of the United States. The Obamas have behaved in every way but presidential – which is why it’s so offensive when we hear Obama say, in order “to restore fiscal responsibility, we all need to share in the sacrifice – but we don’t have to sacrifice the America we believe in.”

The American people have been sacrificing; it is he and his family who are behaving as if they’ve never had two nickels to rub together – and now, having hit the motherlode, they’re going to spend away their feelings of inadequacy at the taxpayers’ expense.

Why do modern liberals think and act as they do? Find out in Dr. Lyle Rossiter’s book, “The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness.”

Obama continues to exhibit behavior that, at best, can be described as mobocratic and, at worst, reveals a deeply damaged individual. In a February 2010 column, I asked,“Is Obama unraveling?”I wrote that it was beginning to appear the growing mistrust of him and contempt for his policies was beginning to have a destabilizing effect on him.

At that time, I wrote that not having things go one’s way can be a bitter pill, but reasonable people don’t behave as he was behaving. He had insulted Republicans at their luncheon, where he had been an invited guest. I had speculated that was, in part, what had led him to falsely accuse Supreme Court justices before Congress, the nation and the world, during the 2010 State of the Union address.

It appeared, at that time, as if he were “fraying around the emotional edges.” That behavior has not abated – it has become more pronounced. While addressing the nation, after being forced to explain the validity of his unilateral aggression with Libya, America witnessed a petulant individual scowling and scolding the public for daring to insist he explain his actions.

But during an afternoon speech to address the budget/debt, he took his scornful, unstable despotic behavior to depths that should give the nation cause for concern. Displaying a dark psychopathy more representative of an episode of “The Tudors” television series, he invited Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., to sit in the front row during his speech and then proceeded to berate both Ryan and Ryan’s budget-cutting plan. Even liberal Democrats were put off by the act. MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough questioned the sanity of Obama’s actions.

Today, criticism is coming from all sides. A senior Democrat lawmaker said, “I have been very disappointed in [Obama], to the point where I’m embarrassed that I endorsed him. It’s so bad that some of us are thinking, is there some way we can replace him? How do you get rid of this guy?” (“Democrats’ Disgust with Obama,” The Daily Beast, April 15, 2011

Steve McCann wrote:Obama’sspeech“was chock full of lies, deceit and crass fear-mongering. It must be said that [he] is the most dishonest, deceitful and mendacious person in a position of power I have ever witnessed” (“The Mendacity of Barack Obama,” AmericanThinker.com, April 15, 2011).

McCann continued: “[His] performance was the culmination of four years of outright lies and narcissism that have been largely ignored by the media, including some in the conservative press and political class who are loath to call [him] what he is in the bluntest of terms: a liar and a fraud. That he relies on his skin color to intimidate, either outright or by insinuation [against] those who oppose his radical agenda only add to his audacity. It is apparent that he has gotten away with his character flaws his entire life, aided and abetted by sycophants around him. …”

With these being among the kinder rebukes being directed at Obama, and with people becoming less intimidated by his willingness to use race as a bludgeon, with falling poll numbers in every meaningful category and an increasingly aggressive tea-party opposition – how much longer before he cracks completely?

The coming months of political life are not going to be pleasant for Obama. Possessed by a self-perceived palatine mindset, that in his mind places him above criticism, how long before he cracks in public? Can America risk a man with a documented track record of lying and misrepresenting truth as a basic way of life, who is becoming increasingly more contumelious?
