Margaret Sangers Negro Female Leaders Speak at the Congressional Caucus briefing on how to “Block” Pro-Life gains in the Black Community

Posted on May 21, 2012 by tfdfblog

On May 10 the Congressional Black Caucus and Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus were honorary co-hosts of a wordy briefing entitled, “African Americans’ Attitudes on Abortion, Contraception, and Reproductive, Justice: From Public Opinion to Policymaking,” held at the U.S. Capitol.

On the agenda:

  • “numerous challenges to accessing quality, affordable reproductive health care… exacerbated by campaigns targeting the African American community”
  • “research on the latest attitudes and concerns of African Americans relating to reproductive justice”
  • “key messaging as a response to attacks and threats to reproductive rights”

Organizers were obviously alarmed by the inroads pro-lifers have made into the black community, hence the briefing.

What surprised me was how freely they disseminated their findings and thoughts, apparently not taking into consideration (can’t believe they didn’t care) that pro-lifers might also be interested in what they had to say.

Which they were. Out of the 75 or so attendees, at least four were pro-life infiltrators. RSVPs were requested but not mandatory. So our people just showed up.

Day Gardner, president of the power-packedNational Black Pro-Life Union and pictured right, was one of those four.

Gardner came away from the briefing shocked.

“What I didn’t expect to hear was that they know the statistics,” Gardner told me in a phone interview. “They already know the abortion rate is very high in the black community. They just don’t care.”

Before the briefing Gardner had thought the key to persuading black political leaders to the pro-life position was educating them on the devastation of abortion in their community.

“But they already know the truth,” said Gardner. “They didn’t bat an eye. Their entire focus now is trying to get blacks who don’t think abortion is an issue to connect it to basic healthcare, because healthcare is a winning issue.”

Why don’t they care? Another black pro-lifer who attended the briefing explained, “What is clearly more important to African-American abortion advocates is their independence, their autonomy. That is their highest value. To them the freedom to live comes second to the freedom to ‘choose.’ What we think is important and what they think is important are completely different. African-Americans are very protective of their rights, and those who support abortion do so in large part because it is a ‘right.’”

The focus of 75% of the briefing, according to the pro-lifers, was the pro-life billboards that have been sprouting up in black neighborhoods around the country, which black abortion supporters abhor and believe are making a big impact.

The first speaker, Congresswoman Barbara Lee, pictured below left, said she was very upset not only by the billboard campaigns but also about the use of the term “genocide” to equate abortion with blacks.

Others throughout the briefing expressed the same concern, because “genocide” frightens blacks and may persuade them against abortion. Lee acknowledged the billboards have had a tremendous effect on women in the black community. They succeed in dividing blacks on the abortion issue, she admitted, and must, therefore, be shut down as soon as they go up.

Lee took credit for the removal of billboards in herCalifornia community, which isn’t true. The billboards ran the course of their contract. She said she, herself, called the billboard company.

Lee said to maintain a focus on healthcare, on saying black woman should be trusted to do what they want with their bodies, and to equating denial of contraceptives and abortion with denial of insurance and food.

Organizers distributed a timeline of the billboard campaigns as well as a dossier of the people behind them. These included:

  • Ryan and Bethany Bomberger of The Radiance Foundation, creators of the first of many impactful billboards, “Black Children are an Endangered Species”
  •  Maafa 21 creator Mark Crutcher
  • Catherine Davis of Abortion in the Hood, creator of the “Betrayed” billboard campaign
  • Brian Follett of Heroic Media, creator of “The Most Dangerous Place in America” and “Every 21 Minutes…” billboard campaigns
  • Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King, Jr., with Priests for Life
  • Walter Hoye of the Issues4LifeFoundation, sponsor of the “Black&Beautiful” billboard campaign

Organizers were incensed by the “Every 21 Minutes” billboard, saying it insulted the president…

Belle Taylor-McGhee, Communications Chair of the Trust Black Women Partnership and pictured right, discussed how to defeat the Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act.

PRENDA is intended to ban abortions on the basis of gender or race. How could blacks oppose it?

Yet Taylor-McGhee maintained this is simply an attempt to shame black women and the Obama administration.

Nancy Beldon, a partner at Belden Russonello Strategists. Beldon handed out “five key points” to oppose billboard campaigns, how to respond to pro-life messaging.

Again, I was quite surprised at the information organizers so freely distributed. A lot of it was inside baseball intel they should not have wanted to get into the hands of pro-lifers. It only helps us know where we are meeting success and how to buffer their attacks.

Belden, pictured left,  said it will be necessary to make sure polling generates the answers they need. She bragged she can make polls say what she wants them to say, that it’s all about asking the right questions, in the right sequence, with certain phrasing.

Belden said it is critical to keep the subject on healthcare, not babies.

She said abortion proponents must also accept the fact that many blacks believe there should be some restrictions on abortion. So, “you move them off the circumstances, which you know are going to lose,” she said. She said to move the conversation to reminding people we can’t possibly know all the health reasons and issues going into a decision to abort.

Belden’s group also studied religion as it pertains to African-Americans and abortion. She said blacks are more religious as a group than the general American population. And generally speaking, the more religious people are, the more likely they will oppose abortion. But in her polling she learned abortion isn’t as polarizing in the religious black community than white. “They adopt a religious explanation or idea that fits their preconceived attitude on abortion…. God gave me free will,” said Belden.

The four-part generalized message to defend abortion:

  • Frame the issue as the need for quality healthcare and education in the black community.
  • Cite disparities with healthcare and education between the cultures.
  • Call for an end to the disparities.
  • Express the value of self-determination.

To specifically battle “genocide awareness” billboard campaigns:

  • Turn “genocide” around: The killing and endangering of our people is really happening by way of substandard healthcare and lack of good education. That’s really the problem.
  • Cite historical disparities.
  • Call for an end to the disparities.
  • Try to switch topics to violence in communities – Trayvon Martin – lack of food, etc. (“What are you doing to help the children already here?”)

A pro-lifer audiotaped the last 20 minutes of the briefing, mostly Belden.

Takeaways:

1. The pro-life community needs to more heavily invest in billboard campaigns in black communities. Donate today to one or more of the organizations listed on the dossier above, or to the NBPLU.

2. Focusing on the babies, that abortion is calculated genocide of the black community, and that most abortions are committed for reasons of convenience are winning issues.

3. Encourage black pastors to preach more strongly against abortion.

4. A fitting verse comes to mind: “The arrogant godless try to throw me off track,” Psalm 119:85. But we won’t let them.

The NAACP has turned its back on God and Colored People

By Ayesha Kreutz

Three of the biggest killers of blacks are abortion, AIDS and black-on-black homicide. Abortion kills more black Americans than the next Seven Leading Causes of Death combined. Abortion kills 1,500 black babies a day. What is the NAACP’s stance on abortion?  They’re for it and the political party that makes money off killing unborn black babies.

Before the legalization of abortion, whites made up the bulk of its victims. Since the legalization in 1973, the number of blacks killed has skyrocketed.  As well, the incidence of breast cancer in women has increased by more than 40 percent.  According to recent data from the American Cancer Society, this cancer now ranks as a leading cause of death in black women.  Abortion and miscarriages (to a lesser extent) both increase a woman’s risk of getting breast cancer because the lactation process is prematurely halted when the woman is no longer pregnant.  Mandating acceptance of abortion is the true war on women.

Reasons most often given by women seeking abortion are the desire to postpone childbearing, lack of financial resources, or relationship issues with a partner. Over 70% of black children are born into single-parent homes and less than 20% of black men graduate.  A large percentage of those that do graduate are functionally illiterate. How are men supposed to live up to their desired obligations to care and provide for their families and to being the father they wish to be for their children when they cannot even read?

Instead of focusing on abortion as a civil right and promoting the self-genocide of our people, maybe the NAACP should focus on education and the freedom that comes with a good education, as we at The Frederick Douglass Foundation do.

Blacks in America have gone from 22% of the population to 13% presently.  Without the influence of abortion, homicide and AIDS, it was projected that, by 2012, blacks would be 40% of the population.  Yet, the NAACP supports the wholesale slaughter of black babies in the abortion mills.

AIDS is another major killer of blacks in America.  “More than 1.2 million people in America are living with HIV or AIDS.  Almost 50% of the new HIV infections every year are in Black Americans.  Among women, more than 60% of women with HIV are Black.  Among gay and bisexual men, more than 40% of those living with HIV are Black.  Among HIV-positive youth, between the ages of 15-29, nearly 70% are Black.”

If the NAACP wanted to tackle the AIDS epidemic in our community, they would be dealing with the fundamental issues of family and education so that our men would stop ending up in jail, where many of them have their first homosexual experience.  They come out of jail with HIV and pass it on to the woman they love. If the NAACP were serious about AIDS, instead of encouraging a lifestyle that too often causes the spread of AIDS, they would be encouraging Fatherhood.

Instead, the NAACP has come out in favor of President Obama’s desire to redefine marriage as an any-thing-goes contract between any two people regardless of their sexuality.  Redefining a God-defined sacrament that existed before the United States was even imagined, will only serve to make marriage even more rare.  If marriage already has a meaning, allowing flawed men to give it a new meaning will render it meaningless in the minds of too many people.  And what right does the Obama Administration and the NAACP presume to have that would allow them to redefine God’s law?

A wholesale endorsement of the gay lifestyle through redefinition of marriage in order to make homosexual relationships equal to normal relationships will drive more black boys and men to feel comfortable trying homosexuality.  They will take the HIV and AIDS that they get in prison and spread it to black women.  More black women will die.  How does this advance colored people?  How is this not a war on women?

Black-on-black homicide and gang-related homicide also lead to way too many dead black folks.  If a young black man isn’t killed by another, he is too likely to be sent to jail.  Some of the biggest threats to the black community are broken homes and incarceration.  By the time a black male is 40, there is a 70% chance that he has spent time in jail, rehab or some kind of institution at least once and 32% of black males can expect to see prison time over the course of their life.

These are stats that break my heart and I simply cannot live with.

Where is the NAACP on these issues?  You know the answer to that. They are on the wrong side.  They’re more interested in keeping their power by making money from the abortion providers and the homosexuals, and in turn, they promote abortion and “gay marriage” against the interests of the people they presume to represent. Follow the money.  It doesn’t go to helping the black community.  It helps the politicians get campaign funds.  And what have they done for you lately?

Every time I turn around the NAACP is calling something a civil right.  Have they lost all sense of reality?  I have to wonder what type of education people are getting these days. It seems as though the educational system is really just an indoctrination system.  If the right to marry someone of the same sex is a civil right, like the kind that black folks fought for to get equal protection written into the law, then the world is turned upside down.  Choosing to live a gay lifestyle is not the same as being born black, and to say otherwise only cheapens the advancements in civil rights that we black people earned.

As well, there were Christian arguments behind Frederick Douglass and MLK’s crusades for civil rights.  There is no Biblical argument whatsoever for redefining marriage for gay people.  The NAACP needs to stop supporting our genocide and needs to stop taking us for suckers.

Christianity & Equal Opportunity Sin Condemnation

by Talitha McEachin on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 5:57pm ·

I think that one of the reasons that many view Christians as religious bigots when the topic of the day is dealing with homosexuality is because many of us Christians are very inconsistent with condemning all sinful behavior or immoral lifestyle choices equally. We whisper and gossip about the rumors within the church of the woman sleeping around with another woman’s husband – adultery. We might think badly of the fornication of single members of our church but we don’t always confront or condemn this behavior. We may know that a member is smoking marijuana, drinking excessively, beating his or her spouse or stealing and we may even be vocal about it, but not nearly as loudly or with such fervor as we do the homosexuality in our midst. Homosexuality, in my opinion, more than any other sin, is treated as the sin of all sins – the ultimate abomination to Jesus Christ. The swan song of morality. It is regarded as something that is so unnatural, vile and repugnant to us that if we don’t speak up against anything else, we’ll speak up against it – well many of us but most certainly not all.

The very idea that two men or two women would physically & emotionally embrace one another in the manner which the word of God has clearly designed and preserved for one man and one woman is so repulsive to us and quite rightfully so because it is repulsive to Christ. Before someone comments mentally or otherwise that I am a bigot, note that I am speaking of the acts themselves as repulsive, not the person committing them. Now I’m not arguing that we should not view homosexuality in this way, but why aren’t the other sins named and others, equally repugnant to us? None of us are perfect, although I think we should be striving for it as best we can. Even if we are not physically manifesting the sins named, many of us are thinking about dating or sleeping with other men or women when we are married, even if that person is married – we lust and are enticed by sins of the flesh constantly, well I know that I am, if I am being honest with myself. Matthew 5:28 tells us unequivocally that:

“But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his mind.”

Many of us, without manifesting the sin of adultery itself, have been guilty of it repeatedly without giving it a second thought– think about that. Many of us are “in the closet” with our manifestations of heterosexual perversions. So how dare we point a harsher finger (keyword harsher not that a finger should not be pointed at all) at those who sin openly because we feel morally superior in the moment, because no one knows about our sins or we are not sinning in the same way that homosexuals are or committing an allegedly “worse”sin. My father, Leroy “Lee”McEachin (RIP) had a great method for keeping his mind on things that were pure and righteous – he constantly studied and memorized the word of God. When he was on the job he would read over and over again scriptures that were written on the back of his business cards. One of the gifts he received from me one year was his favorite – a small hand held electronic Bible which he used so much the markings on the keys became worn and faded in just under two years. When I was a child our home was filled with conspicuous postings of scriptures on bright orange poster board – above the sink where we brushed our teeth, on the refrigerator, which some members of my house accessed more than others (smile Lance, my brother) and on the mirrors of our bedrooms where we glanced, or stared for hours (okay guilty as charged). Obviously, he too, was not perfect but the habit that he passed along to my siblings and I through his actions more than words, was to commit the scriptures to memory for our spiritual survival in this world full of sins of all types and more importantly, our minds – the devil’s playground. Back then I didn’t appreciate this habit so much but now as an adult I completely understand. After speaking with other fellow Christians about this matter, one of them said to me:

“..i(the church & I know this person didn’t mean all churches) doesn’t view all (non-violent) sin equally. It looks the other way on premarital sex, and is now warming up to same-sex marriage because it doesn’t want to be confrontational, unfair, bigoted, homophobic, etc. The church is just all too willing to be just like the world instead of shining light on darkness. That’s why Christians are trying to find all sorts of excuses to go along and get along on same-sex marriage. I guess they’re just tired of getting beat up. The bottom line is they won’t be able to squirm away from this one so easily.”

I am in strong agreement with this person. Now back to those non-homosexual sins; I have found none and believe that there is no biblical evidence that the sin of homosexuality is greater than others such as adultery or lying for example. If someone has it, please share it and I will retract that statement after consulting with trustworthy Christian scholars on the matter (trustworthy to me). I submit to you, that the bigotry accusations, due to the view of homosexuality, hurled at Christians, are misguided and misdirected because in our faith, which we have the constitutional freedom to pursue in America, we are taught inColossians 3:5:

“So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust and evil desires.”

and also in Galatians 5:19-21:

“When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.”

The Bible outright forbids and expresses disdain for the practice of homosexuality in the Old and New testaments:

Leviticus 18:22:

“You must not have sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman.”

Romans 1:26:

“That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turnedagainst the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.”

I could just as quickly and logically hurl accusations of non-religious bigotry at those who hurl them at Christians but I’m not a fan of ad hominems, so I won’t do that. Instead let me emphasize that although marriage is licensed and taxes are collected from the institution of marriage by the government, the institution itself is a predecessor of government. One thing that religious and governmental institutions once universally agreed on is the belief that heterosexual unions in marriages were the best environments for rearing and protecting children. Consider this, nearly 75% of America’s population says that they are of the Christian faith and Christianity is not the only religion which opposes homosexual lifestyles. When our governing officials attempt to re-define marriage in ways that many citizens oppose based on the tenets of their religious faith, they are in fact launching a direct assault on our liberties and legislating morality for all.

Instead of our current president Barack Obama’s recent open support of gay marriage, and in light of his strong views on the separation of church and state, his only response to the topic should have been in support of states’ rights to democratically decide the legality of non-traditional marriage. At least this way, religious and non-religious citizens alike, on both sides of the argument maintain their choices on this decision where they reside. It is in this tradition that the members of the highest court of our nation – the Supreme Court, can maintain their personal opinions while fairly and objectively rendering legal decisions. For Christians, if the vote is in their favor they can rejoice when the legal mandates are in harmony with their personal beliefs and respect them when they are not, although they should still be able to vocalize disapproval, without the ever present stigma of being labeled a “bigot”, which is etymologically fallacious anyway. A bigot is a person who is viciously and utterly intolerant of a differing creed, belief or opinion. Expressing disagreement in and of itself does not merit intolerance. Many Christians simply agree to disagree with non-theists on the matter, and cast their votes accordingly. Christians, if we were to voice our dissent on non-homosexual sins such as adultery just as quickly, adamantly and loudly as we do at homosexual lifestyle choices, perhaps the non heterosexual community would not be so quick to label us “bigots”. Don’t get me wrong, we don’t live to avoid labels from non-believers but Mark 16:5 states:

“And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation.”

and Matthew 28:19-20:

“Go therefore to make disciples of all of the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Predestination arguments aside, how are we to achieve this with hypocrisy red herrings regarding the sins we unequally stand against as obstacles? Again, either way this label is unfair, however, we are spiritually charged with the task of and justified in expunging all sin from among us, as much as we possibly can. We must treat the sin of adulterers, liars, fornicators and so forth with equal spiritual condemnation. It is not the fact that we speak out against homosexual lifestyle choices that is problematic, it is the manner in which we treat other sins, equally forbidden in the Bible, as if they render a cooler place in hell or a warmer place in heaven if the offenders are not repentant. I spoke with another colleague who is a self-professed “gay Christian” He says:

I believe that gay persons are born this way. Since many in the gay community are guilty of fornication and promiscuous, the church should advocate gay marriages in order to discourage sexual promiscuity and the spread of diseases just as they do for heterosexuals

There are several errors in his logic and views among other things but I’ll say this – personally, I think that those in the church who believe that “some people are born gay” and use this as an argument to justify their support of gay marriage are wrong. What we are all born into is sin:

“Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me…” Psalms 51:5

I believe that we have different inclinations towards different sins and some have an attraction towards the same gender. This alone is not the troublesome issue but rather the fulfillment of such desires in active homosexual lifestyle choices. This is the same problem for sinners whose inclination is for premarital sex who become practicing fornicators. We will either choose the path of hedonism or seek to be forgiven and quell those desires through the teachings of Christ and fellowship with the righteous. So I say to believers under the cyber sound of my voice, that if we want take charge of the religious and general narrative on sexual lifestyle choices in light of morality and be taken seriously, we must first, like my father, form habits which encourage and foster pure thoughts and leave little room for sinful impurities. Then once this habit is formed, we must develop an equal opportunity philosophy towards all sinners, regardless of which one they choose to indulge, including ourselves. Either way, quiescence in the face of sin is equivalent to approval andsin type based, biased, vociferous condemnation is hypocritical. Balance, which is always my personal goal, is found in the scriptures, when applied equally to sin inclination demographics.

Eric Holder’s “Conspiracy” Against Pro-Life Advocates

Eric Holder’s “Conspiracy” Against Pro-Life Advocates

by Matt Barber | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 4/9/12 10:46 AM

Eric Holder is a busy man. When President Obama’s chief law enforcement officer isn’t tied up selling guns to Mexican drug cartels, refusing to prosecute self-serving cases of voter intimidation or ignoring “wanted dead or alive” bounties placed by black militants on the heads of private citizens, he’s busy conspiring with pro-abortion extremists to bring the full weight of the federal government down upon innocent pro-life advocates.

So much tyranny, so little time.

Eric Holder is much more than just incompetent. He’s an extremist pro-abortion activist who shares his boss’s goal of “fundamentally transforming America” to reflect both men’s secular-socialist self-image.

The most recent and obvious example of this administration’s serial abuse of power in furtherance of a radical pro-abortion agenda came when the Department of Health and Human Services mandated, in contravention of the First Amendment, that all religious organizations provide contraception, sterilization and various forms of abortion to employees. This may be the single greatest violation of our constitutionally safeguarded religious liberties in our lifetimes. The mandate remains in place to this day.

But individual citizens haven’t escaped a forced fiduciary tie to abortion homicide. A few weeks later HHS arbitrarily attached a “final rule” to Obamacare requiring that every American, pro-life or otherwise, pay one dollar per month earmarked expressly for an abortion services pool. This validates pro-life forewarnings that the president was simply lying when he issued a toothless executive order supposedly banning federal dollars for abortion. (What do we call someone who chronically lies?)

Still, every once in a while the good guys win one.

For several months now the Obama administration has been abusing our judicial system through a concerted political intimidation campaign via the federal courts. Obama has instructed the Justice Department to sue a number of pro-life counselors and volunteers for allegedly violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrance (FACE) Act.

You won’t hear it from the mainstream media, but the Justice Department has just faced an embarrassing smack down on the highest profile of these cases. It has dropped an appeal in Holder v. Pine against pro-life sidewalk counselor Mary “Susan” Pine, who is represented by the civil rights firm Liberty Counsel. The DOJ has agreed to pay $120,000 for this frivolous lawsuit which, as the evidence indicated, was intended to intimidate Ms. Pine and send a shot over the bow of pro-lifers around the country.

Mr. Holder unsuccessfully sought thousands of dollars in fines against Ms. Pine, as well as a permanent injunction banning her from counseling women on the public sidewalk outside the Presidential Women’s Center (PWC) abortion mill (or any other “reproductive services” clinic).

After 18 months of litigation, the DOJ’s case was thrown out of federal court, and the department was chastised in a scathing ruling by U.S. District Judge Kenneth Ryskamp for filing a case with no evidence.

Judge Ryskamp wrote that Holder’s complete failure to present any evidence of wrongdoing, coupled with the DOJ’s cozy relationship with PWC and their apparent joint decision to destroy video surveillance footage of the alleged “obstruction,” caused the court to suspect a conspiracy at the highest levels of the Obama administration. “The Court is at a loss as to why the Government chose to prosecute this particular case in the first place,” wrote Judge Ryskamp. “The Court can only wonder whether this action was the product of a concerted effort between the Government and PWC, which began well before the date of the incident at issue, to quell Ms. Pine’s activities rather than to vindicate the rights of those allegedly aggrieved by Ms. Pine’s conduct.”

After the ruling the DOJ appealed on the last day possible and gave indication that President Obama had personally ordered the appeal. A little over a week later, the president apparently decided to cut his losses and reversed course.

Harry Mihet, senior counsel for Liberty Counsel, said of the judge’s ruling: “It’s not every day that a federal judge accuses the Justice Department of a full-blown conspiracy.”

Ironically, this past December, in the midst of the case, Ms. Pine actually counseled a woman outside of PWC and convinced her not to have an abortion, thus saving the life of the child and possibly the mother as well. Her email to Liberty Counsel read simply: “We saved a life today.”

Mathew Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, pulled no punches:

It is irresponsible for the U.S. Department of Justice to place politics above principle when deciding to prosecute, and thus attempt to silence, a pro-life sidewalk counselor without any evidence of wrongdoing.

When the nation’s highest law enforcement officer files suit against any citizen, the suit must be based on the law coupled with compelling evidence. Anything less is an abuse of the high office. Susan Pine will not be silenced or detoured from her mission to save the lives of innocent children.

Indeed, “politics above principle,” intimidation of private citizens and jaw-dropping abuses of power are but a few hallmarks of this Obama administration.

History will be no more kind to this president than he has been to the citizens he was sworn, and failed, to honorably serve.

Coming to Amerika: Population control -Photo of baby aborted in China at 9 months

The Human Element of Obamacare: When the government is in control of your health care they are in total control over your life and so every tax payer has a say in what you eat or don’t eat. If you get care or are too old or too feeble minded or …. Not to mention If you breed or do not breed, do you really want the government to tell you that you can not have anymore children because “WE” can not afford to put another one of your children on health care? What happens if you get pregnant “on accident” and the government “forces” you to abort your baby? Why not Mandated birth control, I mean over population and all see UN.

Photo of baby aborted in China at 9 months in forced abortion circulates on Internet, sparks outrage

BY KATHLEEN GILBERT

  • Tue Apr 03, 2012 12:53 EST

LINYI CITY, Shandong Province, China, April 3, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A chilling photograph circulating in China shows the body of a 9-months-gestation baby submerged in a bucket of water, apparently a victim of the country’s one-child policy.

Digital Journal reports that the photograph, in which the head and arm of a child can be seen underwater in a large red bucket on the floor, was posted to the Chinese web services company Baidu before it was circulated on Weibo, the country’s version of Twitter, last week.

The abortion appears to have taken place on March 26 after Chinese family planning police in the town of Moshan hunted down the family because the couple already had one child.

According to English reports regarding the original post, the pregnant mother was forcibly held down as she was given an injection to induce labor, after which the baby “even gave a cry when it came out,” but was left in a bucket to drown.

In response to the photo, Reggie Littlejohn of Women’s Rights Without Frontiers, which opposes China’s one-child policy, confirmed that late-term abortions and infanticide are common means of enforcing China’s one-child population rule.

“These violent procedures can happen up to the ninth month of pregnancy,” Littlejohn told LifeSiteNews.com. “Sometimes the women themselves die along with their full term babies. Forced abortion is China’s war against women.  It is official government rape.”

“Late term babies are injected with poison in their skulls or drowned in buckets,” she continued. “If the Chinese Communist Party wants to be a respected member of the international community, it must stop forced abortion and infanticide.”

The image and story has reportedly drawn intense outrage across China through Weibo, which has some 260 million users, since the photo began circulating on Thursday.

One commentator cited by Beijing Shots and hailing from Linyi City claimed to have witnessed such measures carried out against unborn children himself, and confirmed that Chinese officials “pounce on mothers-to-be like vampires who see blood.”

“In the hospital, a pregnant woman was dragged by several ruggedly muscular men into the operation room and did not relax their vigilance until she was injected with the drug. They said, ‘Another one accomplished.’ But that pregnant woman was near term! And her family did not even know she was kidnapped here. I later learned that she was captured when she was at a fair,” wrote the commentator.

Littlejohn pointed out that the abortion allegedly took place in Linyi, the same city where forced-abortion opponent and human rights activist Chen Guangcheng still languishes under house arrest.

“This recent incident demonstrates that conditions in Linyi have not improved,” she said.

Although China “has tried to convince the world that it has softened the one-child policy,” said Littlejohn, “this incident demonstrates that this is pure propaganda.”

“This is the greatest violation of women’s rights in the world and it must be stopped.”

What Martin Luther King called evil, Barack Obama calls good

I had the pleasure of meeting Gianna Jessen earlier this year at “Walk for Life San Francisco.” Gianna’s vibrant energetic personality is therapeutic. Engaging her in conversation is a sure cure for anyone struggling with personal demons of fear and insecurity! Gianna is a sure and certain candidate for receiving the ‘against all odds’ award. Challenges are not new to Gianna. She was scheduled for a saline solution abortion while she was in her third trimester in her mother’s womb. After being burned alive for approximately 18 hours, she survived! Her mother gave her up for adoption and the saline solution caused her to develop cerebral palsy. Challenged by death, desertion, and disease, she prevailed and is one of the most sought after anointed gospel vocalists of our time.
Gianna survived, but if a certain Illinois Senator would have had his way, she would have never received medical attention after the botched abortion. Senator Barack Obama heard the story of babies like Gianna who were surviving abortions but were being left to die in dirty laundry closets at Christ Hospital in Chicago but did nothing on their behalf. As well, the profession which takes the Hippocratic Oath to preserve and save life, ignores struggling infants in desperate need of assistance. Naked, helpless, and in extreme pain, they receive no assistance, no doctor to aid, and no mother to care. Barack Obama, after hearing of these brutal, calloused acts of mans inhumanity to man, voted to allow this heinous, barbaric behavior to continue. Barack Obama voted three times against protecting these born alive victims.
I guess we shouldn’t be surprised when we look at his consistent anti-infant voting record. The wife of the senator, Michelle Obama, has written letters supporting partial birth abortion. The Obama’s are advocates and supporters of Planned Parenthood with full knowledge of their racist practices against African-Americans. I cannot fathom how any person, or leader of conscience, would support a candidate that not only willfully promotes an institution of such racist origin, but embodies their value system. It’s despicable and unconscionable.
In his speech at the Planned Parenthood Fund raiser, Barack Obama recalled how the first ‘Margaret Sanger Award’ went to Martin Luther King. To those of you that know of Margaret Sanger, you are aware this was an attempt to put a ‘Black face’ on her plan to initiate sterilization and abortion in the African-American community. Just as it is with Barack Obama, the vast majority of Americans did not know of Sanger’s radical views on race and government; they did not know of Sanger’s associations with Adolph Hitler, Paul Stoddard and members of the Third Reich. Margaret Sanger fooled a lot of people with her deception; so is Barack Obama.
Since Barack Obama had the “audacity” to bring up Martin Luther King, let’s look at my favorite portion of Kings prophetic “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” …
“There was a time when the church was very powerful in the time when the early Christians rejoiced at being deemed worthy to suffer for what they believed. In those days the church was not merely a thermometer that recorded the ideas and principles of popular opinion; it was a thermostat that transformed the mores of society. Whenever the early Christians entered a town, the people in power became disturbed and immediately sought to convict the Christians for being “disturbers of the peace” and outside agitators. But the Christians pressed on in the conviction that they were “a colony of heaven” called to obey God rather than man. Small in number they were big in commitment. They were too God-intoxicated to be “astronomically intimidated.” By their effort and example they brought an end to such ancient evils as infanticide.”
Martin Luther King points to a people of Christian faith that demanded an end to infant killing. In Rome in their declining years, it became law that upon the birth of your newborn child, if you didn’t like the color of their eyes, the texture of their hair, the complexion of their skin, you could by law lay your child by the side of the road to die. The law further stated, anyone touching your child to give aid would be put to death. The newborn child was to be left to die! The early church under the threat of death scooped those children up and raised them as their own. Martin Luther King called not giving children “left by the side of the road” receiving no aid, evil! Barack Obama calls it a good thing. 80% of Americans call partial birth abortion, evil, while Mr. and Mrs. Obama call it a good thing.
St. Augustine said, “An unjust law is no law at all.” I would say, “Far worst than the unjust laws are the persons who would vote to elect candidates who support unjust laws.”

Trayvon Martin: A Reaction to Racial Politics reject ‘political ploy’

by Ryan Bomberger | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 3/27/12 12:10 PM

The Radiance Foundation has been called, tweeted, and pressed to join the throngs across the nation in protesting the tragic death of Trayvon Martin. Invoking our “Black Children Are An Endangered Species” pro-life campaign, pro-abortion activists (who ignore and reject all statistics related to black genocide through abortion) demand we step into the fray.

We agree that this untimely death should be mourned.  Trayvon was a young man who had an entire lifetime of opportunity ahead of him. We also feel that by blaming racism for the death of this teenager, in typical reactionary style, the public is missing opportunities to engage in a constructive national dialogue about race and unity.

We are America—a beautiful menagerie of different races, ethnicities, religions, ideologies, shapes, sizes, and colors. This tapestry is made up of the beauty that each of us has to offer.  Sadly, threads of violence, greed, racism, elitism, hatred, and dishonesty have become inevitably interwoven, yet changeable, aspects of our humanity.

Anytime I see or hear Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton in victim-du-jour exploitation mode, my Civil Wrongs radar starts sounding. Once again, in a visceral attempt to inflame racial tensions, these hucksters inject themselves into a news event (made so by our lamestream media who strangely don’t do this the other nearly 17,000 times someone is murdered in the United States). For people like the teleprompter-challenged Sharpton, racial reconciliation is never the goal—only racial manipulation.

I’m particularly amused by the media’s description of the man—a white Hispanic–responsible for allegedly racially profiling and shooting Trayvon. Hispanics, even bi-racial ones, are usually considered a minority, but for racially dividing purposes the media has depicted Zimmerman as just a white man who shot a black teen.  Would that make Obama a white black, negating his “minority” status? I’m a white black, too—one whose passion is to serve as an agent of racial reconciliation.

We don’t even know the full details of this tragedy. Yet the press, ever eager to infuse racial strife every chance possible, has made this a circus. Lost in all of this clamor is reason and perspective.

There are 16,799 homicides within the United States in the last reported year according to the Department of Justice. Blacks are disproportionately victimized by these crimes at a rate 6 times higher than whites. But, blacks also make up the majority of the offenders with a rate that is 7 times higher than whites. Much of this is influenced heavily by disparate situations of poverty, and this poverty is due, in most part, to the alarming deterioration of the black family. Back in the 50s, over 80% of black families were intact two-parent married homes. Today, less than 30% of black homes are led by both mother and father, as we illuminate in our latest “Fatherhood Begins in the Womb”TooManyAborted.com campaign.

Shame on our mainstream media for contorting Trayvon’s death into a social commentary on race in America.  This, while they blatantly ignored actual and provable violent racist attacks over the past several years, where black flash mobs struck terror in cities across America. Where’s the outrage for the white teen lit on fire on his own porch after being chased by older black teens? The silence from media only reinforces that they’re interested in their own twisted one-sided race narrative.  According to the Department of Justice, “most murders are intraracial where 84% of white victims were killed by whites and 93% of black victims were killed by blacks.”

We need to get a grip on race in America and stop excusing violent behaviors from anyone, regardless of race or socio-economic standing.

President Obama, who naturally should be a reconciler on issues of race as he is wonderfully bi-racial, seems to squander ever opportunity when these issues arise. We’ve had the “beer summit,” the shrugging off of Black Panther voter intimidation, the silence about flash mob violence, (see Philly Mayor Nutter right) and now thepersonalizing of Trayvon’s death. The President stated, in part: “You know, if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.” These words immediately made a racial case of this, as if any loss of life, regardless of skin color, isn’t as equal a tragedy.

So, I resist any invitation to jump on a bandwagon.  The Radiance Foundation values human life—all human life from conception until natural death. We also value being well informed so that we can look at this present situation and react in a way that affirms life, not widen chasms among people with divisive racial rhetoric.

FDFNY and “Black Genocide”

The Frederick Douglass Foundation, like Frederick Douglass sought while he was alive, seeks to address the “Black Genocide” that has ravaged the black population of our country. While many want to focus on isolated racially motivated incidents, we believe the issue is much bigger. That black mothers are aborting as many babies as are actually being born is only one of the most obvious problems. There are issues that have not gotten much attention, and we would like to address them. These are some of the most pressing issues facing our communities. For example, there is a huge percentage of black men who have been incarcerated, institutionalized or who are in jail at present. What makes this worse, according to a study at the sociology department at Vanderbilt University, the life expectancy of a black man in prison is higher than that of a black man not in prison http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20879679. The number of blacks that drop out of school is astronomical, and that only serves to perpetuate a life of crime and the high unemployment rate of blacks vs. whites. Of course drug additions, children being born out of wedlock, homosexuality, fatherlessness, single-parent homes and other factors continue to plague black Americans as well. Each one of these crises in the black community has a devastating effect, and collectively they are leading toward the eradication of blacks in this country entirely. The black population is actually in depopulation in this country at present.

Celebrating the 150 Anniversary of the Preliminary Emancipation Proclamation

If you have not become a member of the Frederick Douglass Foundation yet or need to re-new your membership NOW, is the time!

In July 1862, President Lincoln read his “preliminary proclamation” to his Cabinet, then decided to wait for a Union military victory to issue it. On September 22, 1862, following the victory at Antietam, he signed the preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, formally alerting the Confederacy of his intention to free all persons held as slaves within the rebellious states. One hundred days later, with the Confederacy still in full rebellion, President Abraham Lincoln issued the final Emancipation Proclamation.

Graham Introduces Abstinence Education Bill in Senate

Graham Introduces Abstinence Education Bill in Senate

Posted on March 19, 2012 by tfdfblog

For Immediate Release
March 12, 2012

To arrange an interview with NAEA, contact Rachel Turner at 202-248-5420 or 404-285-1876 or email at info@TheNAEA.org.

www.theNAEA.org www.AbstinenceWorks.org

Today, Senator Lindsey Graham (SC) introduced the Abstinence Education Reallocation Act in the Senate, together with original cosponsor Senator John Thune (SD). The bill will place a priority on Sexual Risk Avoidance (SRA) as the optimal choice among America’s teens. Since nearly 75% of 15-17 year olds are now sexually abstinent, the need to encourage these healthy behaviors is essential.

Valerie Huber, Executive Director of NAEA applauded Senator Graham’s efforts: “In a perplexing move, President Obama is calling on Congress to eliminate every penny devoted to the Sexual Risk Avoidance abstinence approach despite the fact that studies show this approach is effective. We are happy that Senator Graham is infusing science and common sense back into the sex education discussion. This bill seeks the best health interests of America’s youth.”

Social science research extols the benefits of delayed sexual onset, which reach far beyond the prevention of pregnancy and STDs.  “We cannot overestimate the societal and individual benefits associated with sexual abstinence before marriage,” adds Huber.

The Graham bill is a Senate companion to HR 2874, introduced by Rep. Randy Hultgren (IL) in the House. The House version has acquired almost 70 cosponsors spanning both sides of the aisle, showing widespread support for this strategy among Members. “It’s time for the Senate to do the same,” concluded Huber.

Feel free to use this Press Release in your local newpapers.

The primary mission of the Frederick Douglas Foundation is to educate people within our community about the importance of living their lives through a Biblical World view. Our education focuses on conservative principles within both a social and economic framework. In this context, we set out to help individuals understand basic economics, the importance of voting values, the significant role of the traditional family, and the need to return to traditional faith-based values within their lives.

We work with whatever budget available, big, small and even none at all. For us to be able to reach out to the community at large, there are very important ways that you can help the Frederick Douglass Foundation of New York. You can offer us “free of charge” a location where we can hold one of our seminars, workshops, or events. This might be a Church, Community Center, Youth Center, hotel, school, banquet facility, or restaurant. Additionally, we would be more than happy to travel within New York State to speak or present one of our events to your organization, church, or school. To find out more about our programs, please go to our link HERE. All we would ask of you is to provide a location and advertising for such event. We love to go into the inner cities, as that is the mission field the Lord has called us to. However, we will not limit our message strictly to this geographic location. We feel strongly that our message of conservative values will resonate with all communities.
For additional information on how to request that we come to your organization for an event or lecture, or to donate use of a facility to the FDFNY, please feel free to contact Barb atbcollins@fdfny.org or 585-732-4278.

We have many programs and workshops to offer. A couple of our most popular and successful programs is Total Truth: American History in Black and White. This can be done as a onetime Event or as a 3 part series, it captures the hearts and minds of people by forcing them to deal with the truth of history, helping us to connect the dots to today and refuting the dogma of the left that we as republicans are the racists. Another is Maafa 21: A pro-life film refuting why abortion is not just an issue is about privacy, women’s rights, and reproductive freedom, but about death, rejection, genocide and the Eugenist Movement. This event is done as a Movie and then a Community Discussion. Both of these Movie/Discussion Panel events are powerful and life changing. We bring a panel of experts (generally 2 to 4) with us, and if you have an expert in your community on these subjects, we highly recommend you invite them to sit on the panel as well.

Over the past two years we have gone out into the community to educate both Republicans and Democrats about the history of conservatism and to correct some of the misinformation that has been propagated. Fellow Christians in the inner city for several decades now have gone into the voting booth and voted for Democrat candidates merely because they have been indoctrinated into a mind set that has caused them to vote against their values. It is the Democrat Party that runs almost every failing city, supports abortion, the gay agendas, and traditionally has voted rabidly against school choice for our children in the inner city.

Fatherhood: An Act of Valor that Takes Zeal

Fatherhood: An Act of Valor that Takes Zeal and Knowledge

Posted on March 21, 2012 by tfdfblogBy Roland Warren

March 14, 2012

Last night, Justin, my 26 year old son and I were having a conversation about how father absence is affecting his generation. He told me that many of his friends who grew up without fathers are very committed to being good dads. However, he offered that they don’t know how to be good fathers. He said that they have “zeal without knowledge.”

Zeal is an old English word that you don’t hear often these days, especially from a 26 year old. But, it’s a concept that is very contemporary because it means to have an intensity for a cause, an eager desire and enthusiastic diligence. Alas, there is zeal aplenty in our culture today, so having a bit of it for fatherhood is certainly a good thing. That said, I think that my son was on to something by linking zeal with knowledge. Here’s why…

Early in the week, I spoke at an event and when I finished a guy about Justin’s age approached me. He told me that he had grown up without a father and he recently had gotten married and was going to be a father soon. He then got a very strange look on this face and said, “Everyone keeps telling me that I am going to be a great dad and I really want to be…But, honestly, I’m struggling with how they can know this or how I can do this… I never had a dad.”

He had zeal without knowledge…

So, I sent him an email with links to several of NFI’s low cost products for new dads like, “When Duct Tape Won’t Work”, an interactive CD designed to improve his understanding of how to help his infant through the toddler years, and “24/7 Dad Interactive”, an interactive CD designed to help him with everything a good dad needs to know, from maintaining a strong relationship with mom to effectively disciplining his children.

I was delighted that this new dad-to-be had the wherewithal to understand his problem and proactively seek help. But, frankly, I am amazed at how many dads, especially ones older than this father, will spend $50 bucks or more to watch a pay-for-view sporting event but won’t invest less than $20 for resources, like the ones that I mentioned above, to help themselves become better dads. And, some dads who will spend hours researching and drafting the perfect fantasy football roster—as if it was “real”—but would consider it a fantasy to join a small group of other dads for just an hour a week for 6 weeks and use the “24/7 Dad Power Hour” to hone their fathering skills. Of course, these fathers say that they want to be good dads. But, discipline, not just desire, determines a dad’s destiny. Indeed, they have zeal but they lack the discipline to get the knowledge.

And, that’s a real problem. Let me give you an example to better illustrate this point.

A few weeks ago, a movie called “Act of Valor,” which featured the heroics of real Navy Seals, hit movie theaters nationwide. The film was an instant box office hit. In fact, it was the top grossing movie during the opening weekend and continues to do well. No doubt, thousands of dads lined up to see the film. And, I can see why. Here you have a bunch of guys, many who are fathers, doing amazing things that make us proud to be Americans. Plus, lots of stuff gets blown up!

However, here’s the interesting thing about the Navy Seals in this movie. They have zeal…lots of it. But, they also have knowledge. Why? Because a Navy Seal without both is dangerous. He’s the type of guy on the mission who would kick a door in, guns blazing, and shoot the hostages and rescue the terrorist! In fact, others in his unit can’t count on him to have their backs. So, no one wants this guy on their team. It’s too risky. They would just as soon do the mission one man short.

So, am I saying the untrained dads are dangerous? Of course not. But, I am saying that these dads are less effective and are not prepared for the most important “mission” of their lives–raising their children. This is unacceptable. But, it is also fixable because a guy can learn to be a better dad. Accordingly, if you are a dad with zeal, like that young unprepared dad that I spoke to, I want to encourage you to do as he did. Zealously seek knowledge. Get the resources and training that you need to be the best dad that you can be. After all, being a good dad is the ultimate act of valor.

Citizens Prepare to Rally for Religious Freedom Across the U.S.

Thousands expected to gather in opposition to the HHS mandate on second anniversary of health-care reform act.

The Nationwide Rally for Religious Freedom is set to take place on Friday, March 23, in more than 100 cities across the country. From Hawaii to Maine, citizens are preparing to let their voices be heard on the value of religious freedom. Meeting places include historic sites, congressional offices and federal buildings. The theme for the rally is “Stand Up for Religious Freedom — Stop the HHS Mandate!”

The rallies, which are scheduled to take place on the second anniversary of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (commonly called Obamacare), are being organized by the Pro-Life Action League and by Citizens for a Pro-Life Society in response to the recent Department of Health and Human Services mandate requiring most employers’ health-insurance plans to provide co-pay-free sterilization, contraception and abortion-causing drugs.

The mandate is unacceptable to Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League, who isspearheading the rallies. While he says there are numerous objections to the mandate, opposition to it can be broken down into two key points. The first, he says, is that “in principle, this mandate treats fertility, which can be seen as the very definition of health, as a disease. This is being talked about as ‘preventive care,’ as if motherhood, fatherhood and childhood are diseases to be avoided. This is extremely offensive.”

The second point, which Scheidler sees as even more important, is the violation of religious freedom. “This mandate would force employers to pay for sterilization, contraception and abortion-causing drugs, even in violation of their consciences. This is a direct attack on religious freedom itself, despite what many are being led to believe,” he said.

“Some think that because a so-called ‘accommodation’ was offered, everything is fine,” Scheidler said. “The Church, not the insurance companies, would still be forced to pay for things which violate Church teachings. The only way around it would be if a Catholic hospital, for example, would only hire Catholic employees and serve Catholic patients. This is ridiculous — the corporal works of mercy are not meant for Catholics alone. The HHS ’accommodation’ is so narrow that Jesus and his apostles would not qualify for it.”

He noted that even as Obama and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius presented the accommodation Feb. 10, the administration was “submitting their original plan to be published in the Federal Register. They did not intend to give us any leeway.”

Scheidler hopes to make this clear to those who had been unaware of it. “We really want this to be both a grassroots effort across the nation and also a unified effort with a very clear message. And that message is to stand up for religious freedom and stop Obama’s HHS mandate.”

Among the groups supporting the effort are Concerned Women for America, the National Black Pro-Life Coalition and Students for Life of America.

While many of the rally supporters are Catholic, Scheidler said this “really isn’t just a Catholic issue. This is a direct attack on the constitutionally protected right of religious organizations to define their own mission and purpose, which has been attacked by the Obama administration.” Scheidler wants to see everyone who supports his efforts, whether Catholic or not, to come to their nearest location in support of the effort. “We’re really encouraging people to invite local religious leaders — not just Catholics, but Protestants, Jews and others — to participate as speakers at the rallies as well.”

Speakers at the Federal Plaza in Chicago will include Sheila Liaugminas of Relevant Radio and Chicago archdiocesan priest Father Richard Simon. Cardinal Francis George will provide a recorded message for participants to hear. The newly installed coadjutor bishop of San Diego, Bishop Cirilo Flores, is scheduled to speak at the San Diego County Administration Building. New York City’s speakers include Father Benedict Groeschel of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and Alveda King, the pro-life activist and niece of Martin Luther King Jr.

Solidarity among all believers is something that Catholic radio talk-show host Al Kresta is also hoping for. “We want to see all believers support and join us in our efforts. This affects not just Catholics, but everyone. We cannot allow the federal government to dictate to us what we are to believe in. If we as a nation allow this one step, there’s no telling what else will ensue. It’s a shift from liberty to tyranny.”

Kresta, who is also the national spokesman for StopHHS.com, will be speaking at the Patrick V. McNamara Federal Building in Detroit. He expects to see a large turnout. “We’ve got a great group of people in Detroit who are interested in this issue, and I really do look forward to seeing a large number of them participating in what I think is the most important issue of our time.”

Every notable person Kresta has spoken with about the issue is in agreement on its nature. “I’ve talked with many people — constitutional scholars, bishops, attorneys, historians — and they all agree, whether they’re liberal or conservative, that this is unprecedented. Never before has the United States government attempted to forcereligious institutions to violate their deeply held beliefs,” Kresta explained.

“When abortion was allowed by law in 1973, it was very regrettable; and it remains regrettable that people are able to end the lives of their unborn children,” Kresta stated. “However, no American citizen is being compelled to commit abortion. We are all freenot to engage in that activity. With the HHS mandate, there’s a reversal. They are trying to proactively force us to act against our beliefs. It’s not a toleration of evil, but a heavy-handed promotion of it.”

However, Kresta thinks that because of slanted secular media coverage, many people still see this as a trivial issue . He hopes the rally will jump-start awareness of the importance of standing up for religious freedom. “The secular media is portraying this as no big deal, but it is a qualitative shift. It is fundamentally different from what has happened before: The federal government is proactively trying to restrict our individual and religious liberty. We want to make that clear across the nation. This is not about contraception; it’s about the federal government intruding where it does not belong.”

Penny Nance, president and CEO of Concerned Women for America, the nation’s largest public-policy women’s organization, shares Kresta’s apprehension. “We are deeply concerned about the dismantling of our constitutional freedoms and the assault on Christian institutions in America,” she stated.

“When religious groups are forced to deny their deeply held religious convictions, it is not called ‘balance’; it is called ‘tyranny,’” Nance said. “Concerned Women for America reminds the president that our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. Further, America’s social safety nets will not hold up without the contributions of Christian institutions — many of them run by the Catholic Church — and that churches and religious institutions provide the strong moral threads of the nation’s social fabric.”

Scheidler also sees the issue as being very widespread. “This is something that carries over into society at large. It’s not just a few out-of-touch pundits and bishops out there,” he said. “There are many women and men who reject the idea that pregnancy and childbirth are diseases that need to be prevented. There are many people who believe this is an encroachment on their religious freedom by the federal government.”

Overbearing government is something American Founding Father Patrick Henry is known for opposing, so it is noteworthy that the rally will be held on the anniversary of his famous 1775 statement — Scheidler said the timing of the rally was unintentional but providential — “Give me liberty or give me death.”

Experts Say Newborns Are Not Morally Relevant And Can Be Killed

Not A Person If Disabled?

Parents should be allowed to have their newborn babies killed because they are “morally irrelevant” and ending their lives is no different to abortion, a group of medical ethicists linked to Oxford University has argued.

Eugenics is alive and well but moral ethics are dead.

Anyone who has had a baby or worse yet, lost a baby, knows that the premise of these “experts” is far from the truth and it is pure evil.

Educated people who advocate for the killing of newborns (after-birth abortion) and then publish it shows us how far into the depths of corrupt thought our learned intellectuals have sunk. If there is a lesson here, besides the obvious one of collateral damage from abortion, it is that education and intelligence are no guarantee of moral character.

Our President argued for after-birth abortion on the floor of the state Senate of Illinois.

Abstract -

Abortion is largely accepted even for reasons that do not have anything to do with the fetus’ health. By showing that (1) both fetuses and newborns do not have the same moral status as actual persons, (2) the fact that both are potential persons is morally irrelevant and (3) adoption is not always in the best interest of actual people, the authors argue that what we call ‘after-birth abortion’ (killing a newborn) should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn is not disabled.

The article published in the Journal of Medical Ethics, says newborn babies are not “actual persons” and do not have a “moral right to life”. The academics also argue that parents should be able to have their baby killed if it turns out to be disabled when it is born.

The journal’s editor, Prof Julian Savulescu, director of the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics, said the article’s authors had received death threats since publishing the article. He said those who made abusive and threatening posts about the study were “fanatics opposed to the very values of a liberal society”.

The article, entitled “After-birth abortion: Why should the baby live?”, was written by two of Prof Savulescu’s former associates, Alberto Giubilini and Francesca Minerva…Read here: Telegraph

The primary mission of the Frederick Douglas Foundation is to educate people within our community about the importance of living their lives through a Biblical World view.  Our education focuses on conservative principles both within a social and economic framework. Within this context, we set out to help individual understand basic economics, the importance of voting values, the significance role of the traditional family, and the need to return to traditional faith based values within their lives.
For us to be able to reach out to the community at large there is very important way that you can help the Frederick Douglas Foundation of New York ; that would be to offer us “free of charge” a location where we can hold one of  our seminars, workshops, or events in the Rochester Community.  They could include a Church, Community Center, Youth Center, hotel, school, banquet facility, or restaurant.  Additionally, we would be more than happy to travel within New York State to speak or present one of our events to your organization, church, or school. To find out more about our programs, please go to our link HERE. All we would ask of you is to provide location and advertising for such event. We prefer to go into the inner city as that is the mission field the Lord has called us to, however we will not limit our message strictly to this geographic location because we feel strongly that our message of conservative values will resonate to all communities.

Marriage: A Social Contract or Holy Matrimony?

Marriage: A Social Contract or Holy Matrimony?

by Providence Crowder

Just what are us Christians really saying when we proclaim that “we are defending traditional marriage?” Is marriage even ours to defend? The answer is yes. If we seek the Bible, our answers are found in Genesis-the written account of the origins of creation. Unlike alleged by secular groups, the creation account in the Bible is not a myth. Myths, such as the evolutionary myth, seek truth but they start with false suppositions. To trust in a myth such as evolution takes an extreme amount of blind faith, as confirmed by evolutionists most trusted sources—science and reason—which indicate that it is impossible to prove the origins of mankind. It is unknowable because it has not been observed and cannot be tested; man can merely make assumptions or “educated” guesses as to the true purposes and origins of life and humankind. Yet God declared in the Bible that we can know truth—his Word is truth—and God’s truth is verifiable and reliable. The Bible declares that “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that men are without excuse” (‘Rom. 1:20).

The Bible has reliable external evidences such as secular writings that confirm historical biblical persons and places existed (ex. Josephus, Roman Governor Pliny the Younger, Roman historian Tacitus ), artifacts that also confirm historical places and dates, and early manuscripts such as the Dead Sea Scrolls which verify that the Bible we have today has not been altered. Besides reliable external evidence, the Bible’s internal evidence gives more credence that the Bible is a valid and reliable historical document. Even so, we do not examine Scripture purely as historical inquiry, as Thomas C. Oden has noted; but rather, Scripture examines us. In dozens of instances, the Bibles authors testify that what they have written is “Word of the Lord.” The Holy Spirit confirms to believers that the Bible is the Word of God just as Scripture has claimed: “But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth” (Jn. 16:13).

Furthermore, the Bible foretells of historical events with accuracy and its 40 or so authors document both eyewitness and divinely revealed events of a span covering more than 1500 years—yet it maintains perfect unity. It has withstood the test of time and fierce criticism. No other book tells of man’s creation, fall, and redemption. No other book reveals man’s purpose, his future, and his fate. The Holy Spirit, while convicting the world of sin, assures the believer that the Bible is God’s Word.

If the starting point to answer life’s complex questions do not begin and end with God, man’s answers will always be assumptions and guesses . . . seeking truth but never knowing truth. Secularists who deny the truth claims of the Bible make the Bible no less credible—no less credible than someone denying that the continent of Africa exists because they have never seen it, been there, or experienced it. Overwhelming evidence proves Africa exists!

No source but God can justly determine good from bad and right from wrong. Science, though it helps us understand how God’s created things function in nature, it gives us no answers on how they OUGHT to perform. For example, science cannot tell us that it is wrong for an adult to have a sexual interest in a three year old child. Pedophilia is an issue of morality. It is up to every individual to both trust and believe what God says—the alternative is to believe the misguided moral opinions of men and their flawed judgments. So when we look to questions such as, what is marriage? Man can only offer guesses and assumptions; God offers truth.

So, just what does the Bible say about marriage? Biblical marriage is a lifelong divine covenant between a man and woman, before an almighty God, that is consummated upon the act of sex. God commanded the man and his wife to “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and rule over it” (Gen. 1:28). Man and his wife were joined for that purpose. The whole concept of marriage is of God.  Marriage is an act of God’s love for his creation; it is his gift to mankind—for companionship, for procreation, for nurturing children, and to reflect Christ’s love for his Church, to the glory of God. Marriage was his idea, so all knowledge and understanding as to the purposes of the marriage covenant come from God.

So why design marriage anyways if it doesn’t fulfill the lusts of every man? What sinful man would conceive in his mind that marriage is desirable or even good? Well, Genesis reports that God instituted marriage at the beginning of human history–before the sin entered the world through the fall, before the Mosaic Law, “before the establishment of cities, nations, courts of law, or any human laws. It comes before any institution in any society, and it is foundational to the establishment of any society.” Throughout time marriage has been transformed into a socio-legal contract between consenting persons and the state because generally, men and women desire to be married; but most would rather bypass accountability and obedience to a holy God with rules and laws asserting that some intimate relationships between persons are wicked and abominable to him.

The Biblical picture of marriage perfectly depicts Christ’s love for his Church. This is the great mystery that Paul the Apostle speaks of when addressing the church at Ephesus:

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish but holy and blameless.. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—for we are members of his body. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. (Ephesians 5:22-32).

Marriage, even among believers, has been corrupted by sinful lusts. Men and women desire sexual relationships other than prescribed by God. Instances of divorce, adultery, and fornication are high, even among Christians. Yet God’s standard remains whether we adhere to it or not. God has revealed the end result of those who persist in sexual immorality:

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” Romans 1:24-31

Throughout both covenants in the Bible, the old and new, God had been merciful to us sinners and made provisions to deal with our sins, such as sexual immorality. For example, though stoning of adulterers was required under the old law, Jesus—the Word made flesh—prevented the stoning of an adulteress woman under the new covenant and told her to go and sin no more. Although adultery remained a sin, Jesus had put aside the practice of stoning and instead preached faith, repentance, and warned of eternal judgment. And he offered himself as the atoning sacrifice for our sins—“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Cor. 5:21).

God has instilled within man a God-consciousness, a sense of purpose, a self-worth, a desire to be loved . . . Men are more than evolving cosmic accidents with no purpose for living other than to exist, survive, and die. Man has a purpose, and that purpose and destiny is rooted in Christ. God has made clear through Scripture what marriage is, and he has given us a depiction in the marriage union of the type relationship that Christ has to his own body—the Church. Just as the Church is joined to Christ, a husband is joined to his own wife, and what God has joined together, let man not separate (Mk. 10:9).

Many of the social contracts and arrangements—some call them marriages—that have been adopted through the ages profane what God has made beautiful and holy. Governments and nations that have rejected God, and have rejected his words as authoritative in moral decision making, have instead erected their own marriage laws and definitions that coincide not with God, but with cultural trends, self-interests, and popular opinions. Yet the marriage covenant is documented in Scripture as predating both the State and the Church, so one wonders why governments and peoples deem they have the authority to redefine something that was never theirs to define.

Because of our sexual immorality, children are born out of wedlock, disease is spread, guilt reigns, and we reap judgment upon our souls.  The good news is: God has made a provision to deal with our sins, those such as sexual immorality, and that provision is Jesus Christ—“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ” (2 Cor. 5:21).  Through his atoning blood, we do not have to bear the shame and penalty for our sins, such as adultery and fornication.  We were bought with a price—that is why we glorify God with our body and spirit, which belong to God (1 Cor. 6:20), by rejecting those things that God calls wicked.

Whether we believe or not, God still reigns and his Word is still true.  So, marriage doesn’t need defending as if it has changed in any way, because marriage is still what it always has been.  But because the god of this world, Satan the great deceiver, would have people ignorant, the Church has a responsibility to proclaim God’s truths and defend God’s word against satanic attacks.  Matrimony remains a Christian doctrine as it has through the ages. Therefore Christians, again and again should boldly proclaim the truth concerning marriage.  Marriage is much more than a social contract, it is a sacred bond; a uniting, and a joining of a husband to his wife by God and only because of God . . . it is a way in which we bring glory and honor to our creator.
