Christianity & Equal Opportunity Sin Condemnation

by Talitha McEachin on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 5:57pm ·

I think that one of the reasons that many view Christians as religious bigots when the topic of the day is dealing with homosexuality is because many of us Christians are very inconsistent with condemning all sinful behavior or immoral lifestyle choices equally. We whisper and gossip about the rumors within the church of the woman sleeping around with another woman’s husband – adultery. We might think badly of the fornication of single members of our church but we don’t always confront or condemn this behavior. We may know that a member is smoking marijuana, drinking excessively, beating his or her spouse or stealing and we may even be vocal about it, but not nearly as loudly or with such fervor as we do the homosexuality in our midst. Homosexuality, in my opinion, more than any other sin, is treated as the sin of all sins – the ultimate abomination to Jesus Christ. The swan song of morality. It is regarded as something that is so unnatural, vile and repugnant to us that if we don’t speak up against anything else, we’ll speak up against it – well many of us but most certainly not all.

The very idea that two men or two women would physically & emotionally embrace one another in the manner which the word of God has clearly designed and preserved for one man and one woman is so repulsive to us and quite rightfully so because it is repulsive to Christ. Before someone comments mentally or otherwise that I am a bigot, note that I am speaking of the acts themselves as repulsive, not the person committing them. Now I’m not arguing that we should not view homosexuality in this way, but why aren’t the other sins named and others, equally repugnant to us? None of us are perfect, although I think we should be striving for it as best we can. Even if we are not physically manifesting the sins named, many of us are thinking about dating or sleeping with other men or women when we are married, even if that person is married – we lust and are enticed by sins of the flesh constantly, well I know that I am, if I am being honest with myself. Matthew 5:28 tells us unequivocally that:

“But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his mind.”

Many of us, without manifesting the sin of adultery itself, have been guilty of it repeatedly without giving it a second thought– think about that. Many of us are “in the closet” with our manifestations of heterosexual perversions. So how dare we point a harsher finger (keyword harsher not that a finger should not be pointed at all) at those who sin openly because we feel morally superior in the moment, because no one knows about our sins or we are not sinning in the same way that homosexuals are or committing an allegedly “worse”sin. My father, Leroy “Lee”McEachin (RIP) had a great method for keeping his mind on things that were pure and righteous – he constantly studied and memorized the word of God. When he was on the job he would read over and over again scriptures that were written on the back of his business cards. One of the gifts he received from me one year was his favorite – a small hand held electronic Bible which he used so much the markings on the keys became worn and faded in just under two years. When I was a child our home was filled with conspicuous postings of scriptures on bright orange poster board – above the sink where we brushed our teeth, on the refrigerator, which some members of my house accessed more than others (smile Lance, my brother) and on the mirrors of our bedrooms where we glanced, or stared for hours (okay guilty as charged). Obviously, he too, was not perfect but the habit that he passed along to my siblings and I through his actions more than words, was to commit the scriptures to memory for our spiritual survival in this world full of sins of all types and more importantly, our minds – the devil’s playground. Back then I didn’t appreciate this habit so much but now as an adult I completely understand. After speaking with other fellow Christians about this matter, one of them said to me:

“..i(the church & I know this person didn’t mean all churches) doesn’t view all (non-violent) sin equally. It looks the other way on premarital sex, and is now warming up to same-sex marriage because it doesn’t want to be confrontational, unfair, bigoted, homophobic, etc. The church is just all too willing to be just like the world instead of shining light on darkness. That’s why Christians are trying to find all sorts of excuses to go along and get along on same-sex marriage. I guess they’re just tired of getting beat up. The bottom line is they won’t be able to squirm away from this one so easily.”

I am in strong agreement with this person. Now back to those non-homosexual sins; I have found none and believe that there is no biblical evidence that the sin of homosexuality is greater than others such as adultery or lying for example. If someone has it, please share it and I will retract that statement after consulting with trustworthy Christian scholars on the matter (trustworthy to me). I submit to you, that the bigotry accusations, due to the view of homosexuality, hurled at Christians, are misguided and misdirected because in our faith, which we have the constitutional freedom to pursue in America, we are taught inColossians 3:5:

“So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust and evil desires.”

and also in Galatians 5:19-21:

“When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.”

The Bible outright forbids and expresses disdain for the practice of homosexuality in the Old and New testaments:

Leviticus 18:22:

“You must not have sexual intercourse with a male as one has sexual intercourse with a woman.”

Romans 1:26:

“That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turnedagainst the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other.”

I could just as quickly and logically hurl accusations of non-religious bigotry at those who hurl them at Christians but I’m not a fan of ad hominems, so I won’t do that. Instead let me emphasize that although marriage is licensed and taxes are collected from the institution of marriage by the government, the institution itself is a predecessor of government. One thing that religious and governmental institutions once universally agreed on is the belief that heterosexual unions in marriages were the best environments for rearing and protecting children. Consider this, nearly 75% of America’s population says that they are of the Christian faith and Christianity is not the only religion which opposes homosexual lifestyles. When our governing officials attempt to re-define marriage in ways that many citizens oppose based on the tenets of their religious faith, they are in fact launching a direct assault on our liberties and legislating morality for all.

Instead of our current president Barack Obama’s recent open support of gay marriage, and in light of his strong views on the separation of church and state, his only response to the topic should have been in support of states’ rights to democratically decide the legality of non-traditional marriage. At least this way, religious and non-religious citizens alike, on both sides of the argument maintain their choices on this decision where they reside. It is in this tradition that the members of the highest court of our nation – the Supreme Court, can maintain their personal opinions while fairly and objectively rendering legal decisions. For Christians, if the vote is in their favor they can rejoice when the legal mandates are in harmony with their personal beliefs and respect them when they are not, although they should still be able to vocalize disapproval, without the ever present stigma of being labeled a “bigot”, which is etymologically fallacious anyway. A bigot is a person who is viciously and utterly intolerant of a differing creed, belief or opinion. Expressing disagreement in and of itself does not merit intolerance. Many Christians simply agree to disagree with non-theists on the matter, and cast their votes accordingly. Christians, if we were to voice our dissent on non-homosexual sins such as adultery just as quickly, adamantly and loudly as we do at homosexual lifestyle choices, perhaps the non heterosexual community would not be so quick to label us “bigots”. Don’t get me wrong, we don’t live to avoid labels from non-believers but Mark 16:5 states:

“And he said to them, Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel to the whole creation.”

and Matthew 28:19-20:

“Go therefore to make disciples of all of the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Predestination arguments aside, how are we to achieve this with hypocrisy red herrings regarding the sins we unequally stand against as obstacles? Again, either way this label is unfair, however, we are spiritually charged with the task of and justified in expunging all sin from among us, as much as we possibly can. We must treat the sin of adulterers, liars, fornicators and so forth with equal spiritual condemnation. It is not the fact that we speak out against homosexual lifestyle choices that is problematic, it is the manner in which we treat other sins, equally forbidden in the Bible, as if they render a cooler place in hell or a warmer place in heaven if the offenders are not repentant. I spoke with another colleague who is a self-professed “gay Christian” He says:

I believe that gay persons are born this way. Since many in the gay community are guilty of fornication and promiscuous, the church should advocate gay marriages in order to discourage sexual promiscuity and the spread of diseases just as they do for heterosexuals

There are several errors in his logic and views among other things but I’ll say this – personally, I think that those in the church who believe that “some people are born gay” and use this as an argument to justify their support of gay marriage are wrong. What we are all born into is sin:

“Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me…” Psalms 51:5

I believe that we have different inclinations towards different sins and some have an attraction towards the same gender. This alone is not the troublesome issue but rather the fulfillment of such desires in active homosexual lifestyle choices. This is the same problem for sinners whose inclination is for premarital sex who become practicing fornicators. We will either choose the path of hedonism or seek to be forgiven and quell those desires through the teachings of Christ and fellowship with the righteous. So I say to believers under the cyber sound of my voice, that if we want take charge of the religious and general narrative on sexual lifestyle choices in light of morality and be taken seriously, we must first, like my father, form habits which encourage and foster pure thoughts and leave little room for sinful impurities. Then once this habit is formed, we must develop an equal opportunity philosophy towards all sinners, regardless of which one they choose to indulge, including ourselves. Either way, quiescence in the face of sin is equivalent to approval andsin type based, biased, vociferous condemnation is hypocritical. Balance, which is always my personal goal, is found in the scriptures, when applied equally to sin inclination demographics.

PayPal blacklists Christian writer

FAITH UNDER FIRE

Online activist told friends must find another way to support his ministry

“Relax,” says aPayPal website.“Pay friends & family in seconds with PayPal.” After all, it’s the “easy way to send money in seconds.” No checks, no ATMs, no envelopes and stamps, just click the button on your computer.

That is, of course, unless you and your friends teach the biblical perspective that homosexuality is not acceptable for Christians and is a sin.

Then you get a note from the money-transfer giant that you are being investigated. Another note follows shortly later that your account is being closed and PayPal will hold the money for 180 days, and then return it to you. But you don’t have any access to it any longer.

Those are the circumstances that have developed with Christian activistJulio Severo, who posts writings online on his international Last Days Watchman blog, teaching Christian values and alerting readers to anti-Christian influences worldwide.

Why is American culture like it is? Find out in “The Marketing of Evil: How Radicals, Elitists, and Pseudo-Experts Sell Us Corruption Disguised as Freedom”

In his case, PayPal, on the heels of an online campaign by homosexuals demanding that Christians such as Severo be denied the use of the PayPal system, sent an email announcing an “investigation.”

Then PayPal executives dispatched an email explaining that because of “legal and regulatory constraints,” the company is “unable to process donation payments for non-registered charities and non-profit organizations; political party/organizations; religious institutions; personal/organizational fundraisers, etc. …”

Homophobia Part 10: The Gay Bullies part 4

Homophobia Part 10: The Gay Bullies part 4

Now that I’ve established that the liberal media, the House-picked law firm to defend DOMA, President Obama because he wouldn’t defend DOMA, companies such as Coke, the Hollywood elite and just about anyone who voted for Obama who is actually literate are all homophobic, I’m going to introduce to you gay people who live now and who’ve lived in the past that actually give justification to this irrational fear of the queer. Let me explain that sentence a bit.

The liberal media, as I’ve shown in depth, will lie, deceive and leave unreported any story that makes the gay agenda look bad. Much of that can be chalked up to the fact that a large part of the liberal media is gay, but the rest is that the liberal media is first and foremost liberal. Liberals share with the Muslims a religious agreement that lying on behalf of the religions- either Socialism or Islam- is perfectly acceptable as long as it is being done in order to promote that religion. This is why so many Muslims, even though they don’t believe in homosexuality or abortion (unless it’s of a Jew), vote with the homosexuals for godless liberals. The Muslims want nothing to do with that dang old Republican Party and its occasional fidelity to Christian principles. Christian principles are what are used as kryptonite against the creation of their global caliphate. They vote with the Democrats because only a Democrat party would produce a President who is a Muslim apostate with no fatwa on his head for his apostasy and who finds it easier to sit at the table with the terrorist group The Muslim Brotherhood than he does with the Republican folks of his own country. This is their man on the inside who spends his supposed eloquence apologizing for America’s exceptional past, while begging for forgiveness and offering America’s future in exchange.

I mention this as a heads-up warning to the homosexuals, whose blind faith to the Democrat party will ultimately be a liability if the Muslims ever fully get control of the party and the country. The Muslims will liquidate them like an ice cube floating on blacktop in the summer of Texas. I know, that will never happen here, is what they’ll say. That’s what they said in 1930′s Germany. “Hitler doesn’t actually mean what he says.” But I’m getting ahead of myself.

First, I want to make sure something is clear. Not all homosexuals are super evil and out to gut some unsuspecting Christian in an act of orgy foreplay. Most people know that. For that reason and that reason alone, too many people are afraid to stand up to the gay agenda. They don’t want to hurt the feelings of their gay friends or their gay family members. Or they don’t want to risk being the ones to drive those gay friends and family members to suicide because they already see that they suffer from some sort of depression or another. These are legitimate concerns, and I sympathize with them.

I’m not talking about the many fine individual homosexuals. I’m talking about the mob that grows when they get together and work themselves into a collective psychotic frenzy over their perceived social slights. As a mob, they lose all sense of right and wrong, getting caught up in their own set of morally relativistic rules, none of which correlate with those given to us by God that were used as a guide by those who drew up the law of our land. Without those rules, this land is no longer the United States of America. It is a socialist land of scared homophobes too afraid to stand up to a small minority of angry pagan sexual misfits who live by their own rules set forth by their untethered ids in search of immediate and perpetual sexual gratification and of the mandatory acceptance of this lifestyle by all those who are too afraid of them to stand up and say: “Not in my country. Go to France where you belong.”

And this may also be part of the reason that so many homosexuals tend to be members of the socialist Democrat Party. Collectivism transfers responsibility of the individual to use freewill in making correct decisions in life onto the leader of the collective that makes all the decisions for the individual. The socialist individual gives up free will in exchange for feeling as though he doesn’t have to take responsibility for his actions. If there’s no god but the leader of the collective, this might work out, but God may judge this moral insubordination harshly. But a mob without freewill doesn’t have time or the freedom to consider this truth. This is how the individual Nazi soldiers justified their own part in the slaughter of millions. Hitler was their god, and they were beholden to his decisions. By the way, Hitler was not a Christian. He was a vegetarian tree-hugging pagan who hated Christianity just as much as he hated Judaism. Don’t forget that liberal.

My key point here is that I don’t want to kill the homosexuals like the Muslim mob does. I just want to live in a country where the homosexuals will have the decency to leave my children alone. I know and they know, no one is born to be gay. Becoming gay is ultimately a decision to commit the first homosexual sin made by someone with freewill. Proof that it is ultimately a decision can be found by looking at prison populations. The percentage of homosexuals in any prison population is much greater than the percentage outside of prison. Here I define homosexual as one who commits a homosexual sin.

One argument for this fact is that homosexuals commit more crimes than heterosexuals and therefore spend more time in jail. The other is that those who’ve lost their ability to care that there’s a difference between right and wrong tend to seek sexual gratification in any way possible and therefore will become homosexuals when that is the only option. In other words, unless homosexuals are willing to admit that they, as a group, are more willing to commit crimes, there’s no way to argue that recruitment tactics are ineffectual. Prison is a gay recruitment heaven. Ironically, prison is also a great place to recruit Muslims. But that’s another story. Many of the finest Christians in the world were also recruited in prison. And this is also proof that we have freewill. Prisoners can take numerous paths, and prisons are filled with people who have massive potential that, without the proper guidance, will go to waste.

And now to a some-of-my-best-friends-are-gay moment. During my freshman year of college, I lived on a dorm floor with an awfully nice black guy from Memphis with whom I became good friends. He was innocent, naive and had been raised in a wealthy Christian family. Until our second semester, he’d never even partaken of alcohol out of the fear his father had instilled in him that he’d lose his mental faculties and his soul if he did. He was the kind of person who had trouble being outside after dusk out of an irrational fear and loathing for the bugs. The first time he did get drunk after a night out with a bunch of floor mates, I was the guy that got him a pitcher of water and made him drink some while his room revolved around him and he struggled to cling to the bed. Of course I made fun of him a bit, but only in that friendly sort of way.

That semester, four of us from the floor pledged a fraternity together, and our innocent friend went his own way in pursuit of his pre-law degree. Nonetheless, even during freshman year, another mutual friend had privately outed our naive friend as gay. Gus said to me one night, “I’m telling you, Jerry’s latently gay.” I saw that too, but because there weren’t many gay people where I came from, I just thought, so what. To me, he was just a refreshingly naive kid from a good southern Christian home. Whether he was going to grow up to be a homosexual or not, he was a dear enough friend to me that it didn’t matter.

During our junior year, I caught up with Jerry and again invited him to rush our fraternity. Since he was already a friend of four people from our freshman floor, he ended up pledging. During the pledge semester, each pledge chooses a brother to be his pledge father, which would be the brother who helps usher him into fraternity life. Unbeknownst to me, he chose me as his pledge father and came out of the closet about the same time. The executive officers in the house, knowing me to be the only conservative guy in the house, chose to put him with one of my very close liberal friends- not that they all weren’t liberal- he is just really, really, really liberal. There was another guy I’d brought to the house who also chose me and would end up being my pledge son.

As an aside, imagine me, a conservative, in a house of many liberal guys from New York City, Long Island and California. It takes little more than spending four years with a bunch of guys who are convinced they evolved from monkeys to make one even more conservative. I was like the ape lady Jane Goodall, living among the apes and observing them. Not that I don’t love my friends dearly, but there is an absolutely innate level of condescension that they occasionally would and still do have towards me, but I blow it off for they know not what they do. That and because I know that many of them grew up in perfectly liberal communities where they’d probably never even met a conservative. One of my nicknames was Curmudgeon, and I embraced it with gusto, as I became the keeper of tradition against all those who were too liberal to tolerate some of the things that the fraternity had required of its pledges. I argued for tradition against those who’d rather be accepted without putting in the time, energy and diligence. Where I came from, young people had to earn respect and standing. Neither is an entitlement.

Back to Jerry. During the summer between my junior and senior year, I packed my big old conversion van and drove around the country for a couple of months, fishing, hiking and seeing friends. When I got to Memphis, I called Jerry and spent a night at his house. Because he was a newly initiated brother and long-time friend, I was excited to see him. When I arrived at his house, I met his parents, his grandma and his little sisters. As soon as we were alone, he took the time to come clean about something that he hadn’t told me because the executives of the house- also good friends of mine- had told him not to mention it to me. That gives you a clue into what liberal people think of conservatives. He told me that he’d wanted me to be his pledge father, and because he had come out of the closet, the executives in the house told him not to tell me that.

Because news like that is hard to keep quiet, I’d already known, so I put him at ease by telling him that it was no big deal. And it wasn’t. I’d decided freshman year that even if he did become a homosexual, he’d still be my friend. So he took me out for a night of drinking in Memphis. We had a great time, but there was an incident for which I hope God will forgive me. I made him take me to a strip club, where I met a beautiful black woman. I told her that my friend had just come out of the closet, and I bought my friend a lap dance after she promised me she’d try to fix him. It was a goofy thing to do, but since there’s no polite way to say, “Hey, this homosexual thing’s probably not a good idea,” I decided to tempt him from one sin with another. I see the error of my ways now, but I was twenty-one. Needless to say, It didn’t work, but I gave it the old college try.

Long story short, I had a great time with Jerry and his family, and then I moved on with my journey around America. During our senior year, I lived in the room with my pledge son right next to Jerry’s room where he lived with his pledge father. Because we lived so close, we spent a lot of time together, and the homosexual thing was not an issue, even in a fraternity where many might think it would be.

It might have been a situation where the brotherhood had collectively decided not to make the same mistake with Jerry as it might have made with another gay brother who had graduated before my freshman year. He moved socially from the house because he didn’t feel comfortable. Then, within a couple of years after graduating, he went to work one day in New York City, and he jumped out of a window, thus committing suicide. I don’t necessarily think that had anything to do with being in a fraternity, but suicide’s a pretty hard thing to undo. I doubt any of us wanted that to happen to Jerry, an extremely nice guy.

I felt so comfortable with Jerry that one night, when we were getting dressed to go out drinking, Jerry was the slowest. I was in his room trying to hurry him up where he was trying to decide what to wear. He asked me, “Does this sweater make me look fat?” I said, “No. Your belly does, come on man.” And I just laughed at him because he was being super gay, and he knew that’s why I was laughing at him. It was a moment of mutual comfort over something that so many had previously thought would be too uncomfortable between he and me.

And this is where the story gets sad. Towards the end of that year, Jerry stopped sleeping at the house. I don’t know where he stayed. In fact, the only place I’d see him was at a bar where he would check id’s. I’d say he was a bouncer, but there was rarely ever a need to bounce people who’d grown up in the soft land of the liberals where differences are settled with lawyers rather than fists. In any case, he’d gotten in with the homosexual crowd of the school. He started doing cocaine and who knows what else? He failed out and had to come back later to finish school, but that would never happen.

I eventually did find out more of the Jerry mystery from a conversation with our house cook at homecoming one year. He told me that Jerry had developed such a huge coke habit, after I had graduated, that he’d racked up a lot of debt with drug dealers and land lords. He was pretty much going to be killed. His parents tried to come and get him, but he was having none of that. I imagine it was hard to face his parents knowing that they didn’t approve of his homosexual sins or the drugs and alcohol he used in order to be able to justify his sinning. Eventually, the brothers of the house and our long-time cook put together about $4000, gave it to him and told him to get out of town. That’s the last anyone has heard of him. His parent’s number is unlisted, and I can’t find him on the Internet. I’ve tried many times over the years, including again today, but I have never been able to find him. Not knowing if he’s even still alive, I pray for him and hope for the best.

This is the first time I’ve really talked about this, even though I did it with writing, but I think it fits here. This is what the homosexual lifestyle too often leads to. It destroyed someone who was such a good person. It didn’t matter that he’d come from a good Christian home. His mind was ruined with drugs that slowly but surely erased any ability to differentiate right from wrong. And our culture’s unquestioning willingness to accept the homosexual lifestyle as normal is hurting too many people. It’s not that so many people are really accepting of it. It’s more that they are too afraid, due to homophobia, to actually stand up and say, “Stop.”

Because I got sidetracked, I’ll deal with Dan Savage and the gay Nazis in Part 11.

My editor claims my readers- that being you- have the attention spans of gerbils and don’t like long pieces, so I had to split the bully section up. But before I continue my section about the gay agenda’s tactics, I want to talk a bit about why it’s important that we understand whom we’re up against. As you will continue to see, the incestuous relationship between the gay agenda, the so-called gay republicans, the liberal gaystream media, just about everybody with money in California and the Democrat Party has created an atmosphere of hate for Christianity and Christians that we haven’t seen since before the Crusades started.

Too often, Christians turn the other cheek so as not to out themselves as lovers of Christ. I suppose that is the Christian way, but one has to admire the Christians who didn’t. Think about the Crusaders. They’re hated by the liberal media and educrats that write the history books. But put yourselves in their shoes. The Muslims are raping and killing your women and children as they spread Islam by the sword as their god instructs them to do. Does a man have to give up his wife, children and his life so that he doesn’t do something that many might think un-Christian- that being going to war? No, he has an obligation to do it.

Well that’s where we are with the homosexuals and the Cultural War they’ve declared on Christianity. We didn’t start this war. They did. I didn’t see a bunch of Christians trying to put crosses in gay bars. But in 1993, this is how they treated parishioners in the Village Seven Presbyterian Church:

When someone blew a loud whistle, a dozen or so people in black leather jackets stood up in Village Seven Presbyterian Church, removed their coats and chanted in unison: ”Gays and lesbians under attack in Colorado Springs. We act up. This is for Will Perkins. Enjoy your Sunday.” The group then pelted the congregation with condoms. Perkins is co-founder of Colorado for Family Values, which won passage last year of a statewide prohibition on laws protecting gays from discrimination.  LINK

This violation of the holy ground was perpetrated by a group of gay supremacists called ACT UP! Incidentally, Kevin Jennings, the man who Obama chose to head the Department of Education’s Office of Safe Schools, was a member of ACT UP! I’m sure it was important to Obama that, when reading Jennings resume, he discovered that Jennings had written the foreword for a book called Queering Elementary Education: Advancing the Dialogue about Sexualities and Schooling. Read all about him, but I don’t recommend it if you’ve just eaten. Good to know that the Czar of Safe Schools belonged to a group famous for terrorizing churches and who had previously penned his premeditated intent to get our children.

Back to my point: gays, in a group, don’t think like we do. We measure our actions and our words with a little angel on our shoulder chirping, “What Would Jesus Do? What Would Jesus Do?” We too often avoid conflict and possibly offending others by walking away, and that is exactly what they expect us to do. They know our weakness and capitalize on it. And now that they’ve bullied our legislatures into giving them the key to the kingdom, they’re coming for our children who’ve learned from us that it’s best to avoid conflict by walking away.

I have a theory as to why they will sink to any low level in getting us to give up the Culture War. But, I’m afraid it might offend someone, so I won’t tell you. Just kidding. Here it is. We in America are a country founded by Christians and a few Jews. I know there are a lot of people who run around calling themselves atheists, and that there are even more who call themselves Christians but who never had the formal education in Christianity that comes from going to church. Nonetheless, they celebrate Christmas, Easter and they pray from time to time- you know, there are no atheists in the foxhole. These ceremonial actions are vestiges of their ancestors imprinted on them in their childhood. There aren’t that many families of non-church-going Americans who don’t have devout Christians in their family from some time or place. In other words, we all are to some extent exposed to Christ’s teachings at some point in our life. And the Ten Commandments are kind of imprinted on our souls to some extent as well. We all have some semblance of conscience someplace in the back of our minds. The ones that don’t have a conscience are considered psychotic and will probably kill you with a smile.

Either way, one of the main reasons that young people have trouble coming out and acting on their homosexual urges these days is not the social stigma that homosexuals once suffered- seriously, they’re the most celebrated people of unparalleled bravery on the planet. Heard from a random liberal: “Oh, you just got back from Iraq?-big whoop. My cousin just came out of the closet.” Instead, the hardest obstacle to committing their first homosexual sin and therefore deciding to become a homosexual is their conscience reminding them that God doesn’t like homosexuality. The inner conflict that results from giving into those urges is much bigger than the supposed unacceptance of homosexuals in America. And once they’ve given in to those urges, unschooled Christians, unfamiliar with repentance and forgiveness, will too often consider themselves destined for hell. And this small misunderstanding of Jesus leads many homosexuals to suffer through depression and drug addiction.

Drug addiction leads them to be focused on the present, while trying to escape the past, without a care at all about the future. Suffering through the thought that your soul might be condemned to hell too often leads them to seek immediate pleasure out of fear there really is no future. And with no reason to protect their souls from the consequences of hell because they already think they’re going to hell, gays in a mob do not follow the rules of Western Civilization in their quest for what they call “equality.” They seek it by any means necessary.

Keep that in mind. The real persecution is about to begin. Don’t think for a second that just because the bullies got what they said they wanted- “gay marriage”- that they’re about to stop and declare victory. They want your soul. While there were a few toothless provisions in the New York State legislation that help churches avoid being forced to perform “gay marriages,” it will be the Christian small business owners who get persecuted. Think about a Christian printer who doesn’t find it ok to print invitations to a “gay marriage.” If they say it violates their oath to God and refuse the job, they will be sued for discrimination. The DJ who doesn’t want to see a bunch of men strutting around a wedding dance floor with their shaven butts decorated with G-strings can be sued if he refuses the job. What about the Bed and Breakfast owners that don’t want to share their home with honeymooning homosexuals because they feel that it will hurt the family-friendly reputation that they’ve worked hard to develop? The Christian caterer’s in trouble too. Bottom line, all of these folks will be required to sacrifice their Christian beliefs or be sued out of business. If you say it can’t happen here, you’re a liberal with a self-imposed ignorance. It’s happening in every state and every country that’s decided to give into the gay bullies.  Like I said, they want your soul, and they’re more than happy to make you choose between your livelihood and your soul- misery loves company.

The deal has been violated. Think about the Seinfeld episode where George hits a couple pigeons with his car and concludes they’ve broken the deal. “We had a DEAL, Jerry, We had a DEAL!!!” The pigeon stays out of the way, and the humans don’t hit them with their cars. That’s what has happened- the deal has been broken. Up until now, the agreement was that the gays leave the Christians alone, and the Christians won’t decorate the gay bars with crosses and the Decalogue. Condoms being thrown at parishioners and Christians being sued for holding to their beliefs is the straw that paralyzes the camel.

But now that my editor, who thinks you’ve got the attention spans of gerbils, has concluded I’ve written too much, I must wrap up for the night. But I’ll leave you with one more piece of bullying that I’d planned to write about.

On May 17, 2011, ABC News reported victoriously about gay Nick Espinosa who assaulted Newt Gingrich at a book signing by dumping a bag of glitter over his head and screaming: “Feel the rainbow, Newt. Stop the hate. Stop anti-gay politics. It’s dividing our country and it’s not fixing our economy.” Here’s the link.  It includes a short video interview of Nick Espinosa, performed by a local news babe and her castrated cohort. Pay close attention to how these liberal media people glorify Espinosa’s actions with deep admiration. And after seeing what he did, think about what would happen if a conservative activist dumped glitter on a liberal politician. That liberal politician would whine about glitter in his eyes and sue for assault. But since it’s the other way around, this gay guy, who had already made a jerk of himself by infiltrating a tea party rally and making a nonsense speech, is made into a hero. God help us.

Tune in for Part 9 when I continue to highlight the bullying tactics of the gay agenda.

Same-Sex Marriage Comes to New York, for Now By William C. Duncan: National review

Same-Sex Marriage Comes to New York, for Now

By William C. Duncan Originally posted on http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/270490/same-sex-marriage-comes-new-york-now-william-c-duncan

(William C. Duncan) One of the facts about tonight’s debate over same-sex marriage that will be neglected in the adulatory coverage is the really extraordinary process that brought this innovation to the Empire State. New York law, for instance, requires bills to be published 72 hours before a vote. The public, however, did not see the full language of the bill voted on tonight for more than a few hours (and only if they were exceedingly diligent in looking for it). Normal rules of debate were waived, the session was extended, etc. These kinds of exceptions are allowed for, but only in instances of emergency. Governor Cuomo had no qualms about claiming, and many legislators were complicit in accepting, the argument that redefining marriage in New York was so pressing a priority that the public’s ability to weigh the proposals (not to mention the senators’ ability to do so) should have been short-circuited.

When Sen. Ruben Diaz tried to ask the Republican senator who had announced the new exemption language questions about that language, he refused even to yield for a question. (Perhaps he didn’t want to have to explain that wedding photographers, bed-and-breakfast owners, and the like with religious beliefs about marriage will be liable to discrimination complaints.) “By any means necessary” seems to be the preferred operating procedure for the marriage-equality movement. What remains to be seen now is whether the people of New York will look kindly on the legislators who ignored them, listening instead to the Hollywood stars and other glitterati who became lobbyists for this fashionable cause.
